TTC After a Loss

Hi ladies...joining in

Hi all,
Just wanted to introduce myself.  I have a 3 year old DS.  I had my first miscarriage a few months ago at 8 weeks.  It was a bit of a shock, because my pregnancy with my DS had gone so unbelievably smooth.  We are now going into cycle # 3 to try again after our loss.  I got pregnant really quick with DS and Angel Baby....so I'm not used to this waiting thing.  I'm still grieving really heavy over my lost baby, and I feel like another pregnancy is the only thing that will help me to move in and have something to look forward to.  Looking forward to getting to know all of you.

  • I'm still waiting for my first AF following a d&e, but I can't wait to get trying again. Looking forward to getting pregnant again soon has me in good spirits for now, but if it doesn't happen right away, I'm definitely going to feel the disappointment. I got pregnant in my second cycle of trying, but it was my first cycle with a bbt chart and opk's. So even though I know I shouldn't get my hopes up, I can't shake the hope that it will happen on the first try. --I'll be 37 next month, and we don't have any kids yet, so the clock is ticking.

Good luck on this cycle -- I hope it's the one!

This is exactly how I feel right now. I am so hopeful that we can get pregnant right away which is what is keeping my spirits up. But, if it doesn't happen in the first couple of cycles, i am so afraid my stress level will shoot up and it will only complicate things. It took us 6 months to get pregnant this time and that seemed like an eternity, but after a loss, 6 months will be more miserable.
