NO nausea at 9 weeks

Hi fellow mamas. So I am nine weeks today. This is my first pregnancy. I had one day where I threw up about a week and a half ago. Other than that I have not had "morning sickness." I have definite aversions to ALOT of foods, but no morning sickness. Boobs are sore, fatigue and mood swings though. My doctor says it's perfectly fine to not have nausea but I feel like everyone else does besides me and it makes me worry.
Any of you ladies having or have had the same experience?

Re: NO nausea at 9 weeks

  • I'm 8 weeks and had a little bit of nausea last week and now this week nothing. I have been worried all day thinking about. It's also my first time so don't really know what to expect

I never had morning sickness with my first and I haven't had it with this one either! My mom was never really sick with any of her 8 kids, and my best friend hasn't been sick with either of her two kids. Some women just don't get morning sickness! Enjoy it! :)
  • I'm about 8 weeks and I haven't thrown up once. It's perfectly normal. Different people react to things differently, and everyone gets different symptoms. Be happy that you haven't had to experience this:)
  • Although most women get morning sickness, there are large percentage that also do not experience it. Congratulations on being fortunate thus far! I hope you continue to feel great throughout the rest of your pregnancy :-)
  • All pregnancies are different, so try not to stress.  With my first I would get slightly nauseated but never threw up, and with this one I'm barely gettings nauseated.

  • I had a little bit of nausea during week 5 but that's it. I've had constipation, fatigue, sore boobs, and headaches. I haven't even been super emotional lately either. Or maybe I'm just too hormonal to realize it ;)
  • I'm 7w2d, and, while I've had definite food aversions and some queeziness if get too hungry or eat too much, I haven't had what I would call full on nausea. Mainly the thought of most food disgusts me, but I'm not really nauseated. My mother never had morning sickness with her pregnancies, so I'm hoping it's just good genes :-) I have to say I am extremely thankful if I get to skip this symptom as I have a very real fear of vomiting (I haven't since I was 15 with food poisoning). My payback may be my terrible heartburn.

  • Lucky ducky!!! I feel on the verge of vomiting day in and day out, then again my mom had terrible morning sickness with all five of us kiddos. Like everyone has been saying everyone is different!

Oh girls!!!! Thank you so much I feel a lot better :) it's just that there's stuff about morning sickness all over ! Hearing that others are experiencing the same thing as me makes me feel better :)
  • You don't have to vomit for all to be ok lol for me it makes me feel better knowing my symptoms are strong as i have had several losses at different stages of pg. But when i look back...my first and second pgs...who i carried perfectly fine and they are 20 and almost 19 now...i barely had any vomiting or nausea. Then with my third baby i felt sick but threw up once. Then it seems it got worse with each consecutive pg. Lol
  • I totally understand the worry. I actually worry more about not having severe symptoms after reading these boards. I've seen a few women say their doctors said their severe symptoms were a good sign of a healthy pregnancy, which makes me wonder "is it bad that I'm not having those symptoms?". But my doctor told me that some women just breeze through pregnancy and some don't and either is fine and normal. I just try to remind myself of that and continue to hope the MS doesn't catch up with me :-)

  • I had no sickness with my first and so far none with this one. Not even spells of nausea. I think it's a blessing from the stories I've heard from friends. Enjoy it!

  • I love reading this! Because I haven't been nauseous either! A little if I get hungry, but nothing to write home about! Thanks for the cheer ladies!
  • Same here! I'm a few weeks behind you but what i've read nausea was suppose to start this week and nada! I do get "nothing sounds good" re; food, but that's about it!
  • I am 9 weeks today and I have minimal nausea as well. Some mornings I gag when I brush my teeth but no real vomiting. I "feel" off and nauseous from time to time but sometime I also feel great! My boobs are more FULL than sore and I am tired and bloated.

I'm in the same boat and I don't even see a doctor for another week and a half so I am questioning if I am dreaming. Ha!
  • I'm 9wk3days and there is no morning sickness. A while ago I felt aversions to food and puked a few times in response to being constipated.   My boobs are full and a little sore, but other than that I feel fine. I even woke up before my alarm clock today! Last time I saw my little tike was at the fertility doctor at 7 weeks 4 days - we had an ultrasound and heard the heart beating at 148 bpm. I am a little nervous, as this is my second pregnancy (first one ended in chemical birth). I would like to have full-blown pregnancy symptoms, but I don't.  It is nice to hear that women who have had babies before this round have also not experienced morning sickness.
  • My nausea has passed too but I can't get over this constant tired feeling!!! I'm in a permanent state of feeling groggy, like a just woke up mixed in with a slight hangover, haha. Sore nipples and boobs too. It's been like this all week and I'll be 10 weeks tomorrow! Holy cow it's going fast!
  • Same here! Had virtually no nausea and I'm 9 weeks tomorrow. Just really tired all the time! Hoping I'm okay too! We had a nice strong heartbeat last week, so hoping our little bean keeps growing!
  • Consider yourself lucky! I feel like crap... Not just in the morning...all day, all night long. However, I have friends with healthy babies who never got sick. You are one of the lucky ones, mama! :)
  • I'm 9 weeks also and I haven't had morning sickness yet :)

I was fine then ms slapped me in the face for two weeks and now today I haven't felt very sick. I had slightly nausea once today but that was it. I also worried about it but symptoms come and go from what I've read. Just praying for this little bean. I try not to focus on it. I'm the type that will google myself sick!

I had no morning sickness for well over a week, actually no symptoms at all, and panicked. I scheduled an ultrasound for peace of mind on Thursday (when I was 8w 6d) and saw a healthy baby with a 160 heart rate! Hang in there! I know the Internet is scary and full of MC stories (reason for my panic) but everything will be fine! Enjoy this period of no Morning sickness!
  • I'm almost 9 1/2 weeks and this is my first pregnancy...I've had a little nausea here and there but no morning sickness at all!! Is it normal to feel this great so early? I feel like I'm missing something!

I'm 7w2d, first time pregnancy and no nausea so far. I too have the same concerns but I guess we're lucky. Besides I have other symptoms like big and sore boobs, shortage of breath, constipation and bloating. Plus I feel hungry often

I had nausea in weeks 5 and 6 and then it's really eased off. I'm 9w 5d now. I had mega food aversions but am starting to eat normal foods again (mainly carbs) and I've gained 5lb already. No sickness at all. I feel I've got off lightly ha
  • It's basically just how your body reacts to the hormones. Some react poorly and make you nauseous, some can handle it. Just consider yourself very lucky!
I had severe nausea from about weeks 5-8 (went on Zofran at week 7). Nausea seemed to be much better at week 9, then at week 10 back with a vengeance.
Two of my friend are also pregnant and about 4 weeks ahead of me - neither of them had nausea and they are both having healthy baby boys. (I have to tell you I'm a little jealous!)
  • I had bad nausea (but no vomiting) from week 6 to 8 but this week it's not been near as bad so of course it worries me.
  • I'm 9 weeks and have only had nausea once due to a headache. Feeling very blessed. This is my first pregnancy, and I have a demanding job and am up for a promotion that would make life easier when the little one comes. Not feeling I'll has made it much easier to keep the secret at work! I have been absolutely exhausted, which has been the hardest part. This week I took a nap in my car at lunch!
