Contractions for 22 hours:(

Started getting contractions yesterday at 5 pm that were about 5 minutes apart. Waited until about 10 pm and by then they were stronger and in my back. Had been losing my mucus plus for a couple days and had what I thought was my 'bloody show' so I figured this might be the real deal by about 1 am. Reason I didn't go sooner was because I was afraid of being send back home cause I just had that happen a couple weeks ago. At this point they were also 3 minutes apart.. So we get to the hospital, get an iv and a room and get checked.. Still only dilated to a 1. Then they came back an hour later to see if I'd made any progress.. She said I dilated a hair a freaking hair. So these contractions went on for another few hours until my doctor got there and nothing! Still at about a 1! Baby's heads very low and all the way effected. Everything In my favor except for the fact that I won't dilate. I'm still having these contractions by the way. TWENTY TWO HOURS!! This is nuts. Doctor told me to walk around have sex so anything to get dilated and if things progress come back. So upset at the fact that I'm coming home without a baby in my arms again.

    Try using an exercise ball and get your hips moving! I had a few false alarms with my daughter so I know how disappointing that can be! Hoping you come home with your bundle of joy soon!

    It isn't false labor though cause that's what I thought.. It's the real deal the contractions get stronger and everything just dilating like a turtle literally ! This is also my first so that could have something to do with it. Doctor isn't too concerned though because I'm not past my due date or anything. But yes definitely will be moving the hips he also mentioned that

    My Aunt told me the other day that she was stuck with dialating during labor with one of hers. Sitting on a birthing ball did the trick. Just another vote for the hip movement. Prayers that baby comes soon for you!

    Girl I had them for FOUR days and i was too early for them to help labor along so eventually I let them stop it. Then a much shorter labor nearly 2 weeks later :P

    I started contractions Monday morning at 230 am and gave birth on Wed morning at 830 am. I had the same issue but once I did start dialating it went really, really fast. Good luck.
