PCOS and low Progesterone

I have finally gotten pregnant after 2 1/2 years of trying. I've been having cramping so I went to the obg. My HCG levels are doubling, so he sent me for an early ultrasound to rule out ectopic. I persuaded him to check my progesterone too BC I have PCOS and he seemed like he wasn't one to depend on a prog supplement to "save a pregnancy." Just got the call with the results of my progesterone level and it is 11.1 and I'm somewhere in my 5th week. (Saw the gest sac and yolk sac, no heartbeat yet). The nurse said that is on the lower side and they are calling me in the progesterone suppositories.

I wanted to share this to encourage you to be your own advocate. Why should we have to suffer with multiple miscarriages before they do something for us. I'm glad that my obg listened to me; I feel like we are saving my baby. Stand up for yourself and your baby. <3

  • I'm glad you are standing up for yourself and your baby. Have you had issues with your dr in the past? Have you considered switching drs?
