Pregnancy differences?

Hey all- I'm on my second pregnancy and this one is sooooo different from my first. This pregnancy is causing hell on me and my first was so easy really. Everyone I know keeps going "oh it must be a boy" because I already have a girl and this is so different. Thoughts? Anyone have totally different pregnancies and have the same gender? Different genders?

Re: Pregnancy differences?

  • This is my first, but my SIL has had two girls and three boys. She was much sicker with the boys.

  • This is my third I was sick the first time but not like the second. My first pregnancy I felt super sick but was ok and the rest of the pregnancy was exactly normal. My second I felt like on the verge of fainting so much I couldn't function I was pretty sure I was going to vomit and diarrhea at the same time all day. Got kidney stones irritable uterus bled until almost 14 weeks then pulled a muscle (btw when you pull a muscle in your belly pregnant, it doesn't heal until after delivery) and I had 2 girls. This time I have no symptoms except extreme exhaustion and emotions. So who knows!!
  • Twins (b/g) last time, I had major food aversion, but no real "sickness", always in the evening. I lost 15 pounds in the first trimester. And allllll my hair fell out. It was ugly. But I was full of energy and always happy.
This time, singleton, just occasional queasiness/too much saliva, and so far my hair is staying on my head- it might even be getting thicker, but my ends are splitting so I'm not holding out too much hope for it. I'm exhausted and pissed off at the drop of a hat. Mostly at SO. But that's because he's an asshole!! (Right now, I might like him more later if he brings me ice cream)
  • I had a girl the first time and the smoothest pregnancy in the world (even if i did give birth a month early). This one, I feel nauseous constantly, and more tired than I ever remember being. And i'm constantly hungry. I'm pretty confident it's a boy.
  • My 1st my mornings and afrernoons where fine past 7pm I was puking all night (boy) my 2nd no symptoms easy pregnancy (boy) 3rd I couldn't eat greasy food it had to be sweet I was moody I hated my daughters dad one minute the next he was my best friend and I was tired all the time (girl) my 4th no sickness just extremely tired all the time and moody (boy) this one horrible tired not hungry moody and I pretty much just hate life lol

I feel exactly the same as last time. I have a boy now and I'm wondering if this little one will be a boy too!!!
  • So far I'm different than my first. I'm much more nauseous this time around and the boobs hurt a lot when they didn't at all last time. I had to be on bed rest by the end last time so I'm hoping that will be one good different this time around!
  • People are telling me I'm going to have a girl because I've been totally crummy this pregnancy. I had nothing at first and then it just hit me around 7 weeks.
    With DS I felt great!

  • Unless I just spaced it out, I don't remember feeling this sick with DS.  My first symptom with DS was sore boobs, but my boobs haven't been sore at all this time.  I also didn't experience much cramping with DS but that was my first symtom this time around.
