im looking for a pregnancy journal that's week by week that I can write in and put my ultrasound pictures in along w belly pictures! I've been looking online but can't see what the inside looks like... Bummer. I'll run out to babies r us and a couple bookstores after my ultrasound apt Wednesday (if all is good that is) :) thanks in advance for the help!

Re: Pregnancy journal recommendations

  • I feel like I've seen journals like that at baby's r us. That's such a great idea to keep everything documented.

  • I know! I hate how everything is on phones and apps now... I want something that I can keep and hold... Not on a phone... I'm on a hunt for a good one.

I used the belly book with my first and ordered another for this pregnancy as well. It has weekly pages, weekly photo spots, breaks down each trimester and has some pages with questions you won't want to forget: who did you tell and how, your feelings, cravings, first kicks, first time you heard heart beat, labor story at the end and of course plenty of dr visit pages!

    Eta: I ordered on Amazon!
  • I actually found a really cute one at Kroger called "From Pea to Pumpkin" for $12. It has milestones, size of your baby by week, places for pictures, and spots to write what you're going through as well as sweet little messages to your baby. I can't wait to show it to my future child one day!
  • I'm writing in The Belly Book, too, and it's so cute! Got it at Barnes and Noble in the Parenting section. @MorganW24 did you start with week 1 when you were "really" pregnant after conception or did you use the date of your last period like they do on the bump? I want to match what the doctor says but technically have nothing to write for those first 2 weeks!
  • I've seen a lot about the belly book I've been between that one and this other one.. I'll attach picture. But it's kind of pricey and I'm not sure what the inside is like... I guess it's safe to look around before heading online. I'm leaning more towards the belly book though!
  • @sweethomecarolina I go with my actual weeks. The first two weeks I just write about what we did that week... Went out to a movie, grabbed dinner with friends etc. I think it's easier to keep track when I keep with the weeks accurately. Plus looking back on my first pregnancy is fun to compare symptoms with this pregnancy!
  • I bought The Bump's Pregnancy Journal at Barnes & Noble, and I love it! It doesn't have a section for every week, but it does have sections for weeks 1-4, weeks 5-8, etc. There's also pages for bump pictures, and places to stash ultrasound pictures and other keepsakes for each trimester.
  • My SIL had the belly book and it's really cute. I've been looking online at a journal called "when we became three", but I haven't seen it in person.

I too am using from pea to pumpkin and love it! It's adorable!!!
  • Pea to Pumpkin is the best! I work at Barnes and Noble and had suggested it to customers for years before become pregnant myself and now I'm so happy I get to use it myself! It's adorable and lighthearted.
  • I just bought from pea to pumpkin. It's really cute!
  • Ah I just went and bought the belly book! I love it! I looked at several that one caught my attention
  • I got the Belly Book because it has a matching Baby Book you can get when baby comes! So cute and it is easy to fill out so it doesn't feel like a chore to do it. :)

I agree!! That's the main reason I picked it, some I looked at were lengthy and just too much... I really wanted to concentrate on belly pictures and how I was feeling/any news that week. I wish there was a place for daddy to be involved though... I seen one book where there was pages straight for dad! But I'll make him write with me every week, I guess we will have to share the note section!
  • Belly Book all the way! Got mine at Barnes and Noble for $10 with my membership!
  • Thanks for posting this! I hadn't even thought of something like this, I will probably go to Barnes and Noble and get a journal tomorrow!
