Swelling!

Is anyone else experiencing crazy swelling? I wasn't swollen at all until about two weeks ago (week 28) and now ankles and feet are HUGE. My doctor says its 100% normal but its uncomfortable and frankly embarrassing. It is starting to get very hot here and I hate wearing skirts or shorts now! My feet wont even fit into my shoes without looking like they are going to bust out.
Anyone have any suggestions? I drink plenty of water, work out regularly and eat healthy. I just can't seem to keep the swelling down!

Re: Swelling!

  • Oh yeah, girl! Massive swelling here and I'm at 31 weeks. I've had it since 28 weeks off and on. My doctor says it's not preeclampsia which I'm thankful for but holy moly is it painful. The only thing that has helped me is propping my feet up whenever I can and drinking TONS of water... I have to drink at least 120oz. to see a difference. I need to invest in some work-appropriate sandals that are comfy because my flats are not cutting it. Hang in there!

  • Mine is getting worse. Ita not pre-e but I figured with biking every day it wouldn't be so bad. :-(

Try not eating salt at all.'with my last pregnancy I looked like a balloon and with this one I decided not to eat salt, nothing! Even when I go to a restaurant I order everything with no added salt and I'm not swelling that much! I get occasional mild swollen ankles, but just when I've been standing for a long time.
