Came home and cried

Had my appt this morning and my cervix is high and closed. I've been out of work for 5 weeks because of preterm labor and now he doesn't want to come. I'm 38 weeks, FTM, who's has excruciating back pain. I can't do much because my back hurts so bad and absolutely nothing helps. To add insult to injury, my little sister is getting married 2.5 weeks after my due date, and at this point my dress won't fit, my son might only be days old, and we have to travel 4 hours away through the mountains. I tried everything to progress and nothing has worked. So I sit here and cry :-(

    It gets stressful at the end - and the unknown factors make everything even worse. But, you're only 38 weeks. Your body is supposed to be doing anything right now. Calm down and give yourself some time.

    I'm exactly the same - I'm 40+6 and my midwife couldn't even attempt a sweep this morning as my cervix was so far back. It's frustrating, but I've heard that later babies can sleep and feed better (I can hope!). 38 weeks is still a bit early - I know it's frustrating but be patient, don't stress and LO will be here before you know it :)

    Will your doctor induce you at 39 weeks? Could be an option.

    I quit work early too for the same reason and here I
    Am at 39 weeks and nothing. Contractions have even stopped. (I was getting dozen a day at 34 weeks is why I quit work) Cervix is high and tight too :| He also has chosen to be traverse..... Killing my back!
