Good morning all my beautiful pregnant friends! I know most of us are not feeling our best right now. We're irritable, swollen, and tired. With all that said, let's find out what we're all grateful for on this glorious Thursday!
So thankful for it becoming warm and not having to wear bulky sweaters and coats!
Thankful for the generosity of my friends and family at my shower, it shows me how loved this baby is already on the inside and can't wait for it to be on the outside.
Thankful for my health! And most importantly that I will be kissing the cheeks of this baby in 4-5 weeks!
TTC: 1/2014
BFP: 9/24
EDD: 6/8/2015
Sorry for the poor man's siggy...ticker won't load regardless of how many tips I read.
I'm grateful to receive my first payment from the electric company for generating too much power from our new solar panels. I'm also thankful that the nursery is nearly complete. And lastly I'm thankful for all the rain we've been getting lately, everything is so green and lush.
Thankful I got the masonry repair work done about two weeks ago (not thankful for the cost, but ya win some ya lose some) so I know I will not be stressing about my chimney blowing over in a strong wind anytime soon. Thankful the guy who is going to repair the flashing (roofing materials) at the base of the chimney should be able to do that next week, and it should only cost $200 or less (vs the $2000+ the masonry work was) so that after next week this home repair that has been hanging over my head (literally) for a year will be done. It will be such a relief to not have to worry about that thing in every storm, every time time its really windy or rainy or cold. Seriously, thank the gods. Also thankful for my hubs, who initially thought he could do the flashing, got up there and after a little bit of poking around threw in the towel, knowing he was out of his league. Some men might have tried to continue on out of bravado or stubbornness. Even a few years back he may have done that, and made the situation worse before a professional could come and fix the original problem, and the additional damage he did being stubborn about it. He's also finally jumped onboard my 'getting things ready for baby' bandwagon, knowing that I have been wanting to do things (clean baby's room to prepare for furniture, etc) but have been totally sidelined by this cold. He's also out taking a test for advancement today, which is his day off. He was a champ during the 'prepared childbirth' class, at one point leaning over and saying "yell at me all you want, my job is to make sure you're relaxed" and being a good breathing coach when I just wanted to pretend to go thru the motions (me - 'like I don't know how to breathe... I do it every day, sheesh!'). I'm just really proud of him over the past few weeks.
I'm thankful that my DH tells me my sister in law looks fat (she's preg too and evil) ..... When we all know she's not..... But it makes me feel better and thankful for being able to grow this baby at home for these last weeks when others have to work their *sses off... Thankful for my DH who burnt the shit out of pizza last night but made the effort to make something Thankful for the bump so I can voice my fears 24/7. Thankful for all the homemade (sewn) gifts we have recieved for this baby. Those mean so much.
I'm also thankful for my two kittehs, who have boxed me in on the bed. Samurai on my right, Silt on my left, and its a good thing I don't need to pee as apparently I'm not allowed to get up
Thankful for the sunshine and beautiful weather, and for my husband! I didn't think I could love him anymore than I already did, but through this pregnancy he's been so so amazing and I love him even more than I did before! I can't wait to see him be a dad!
I'm thankful for the DH, being able to be off work start this week while still feeling great at 33 weeks, also super thankful for the gorgeous weather and a great birth team
I'm thankful that the weather is finally nice and it's supposed to be in the 80's all week (I love warm weather!) and also incredibly thankful that we found a house and the sellers accepted our offer so we will be able to move in before we have to be out of our apartment! Also thankful for my family and DH's family who both are being very generous and giving us money for our downpayment. We're very blessed 8->
I am thankful that the fence people will be coming soon to FINALLY put up our new fence! We have been living with 2 dogs (not trained to be off the leash) and no fence for 4 years!! Such a silly thing to be thankful for, but those little turds can be dang annoying to let out on leashes at 6 AM. I know I will appreciate it even more for those early AM feedings when they will want to go outside just because I am awake.
I'm thankful that our AC went out last week when it actually got kind of cool here, as opposed to when it is 103 in July with a baby. I'm also thankful we were able to replace it.
I'm thankful that my husband is awesome (it's our four year anniversary today). I can't wait to celebrate with an awesome dinner.
Lastly, I'm thankful that so far my pregnancy has been uneventful and that baby is growing and healthy in there.

amccoy129 who has helped me see the bright side of this.

@Steph0727 DH and I moved into a new house in october and we're waiting on landscaping to be done so we can install the fence. It's only been a few months for me and I hate it...I can't imagine lasting 4 years - you're a champ. I'm thankful on your behalf!!!
I'm thankful for my son. The other day while I was clipping his fingernails, he leaned forward, kissed my forehead and said "Love you Mom." That was the first time he's said that without me saying it first. So I hugged him, kissed his face and said "I love you too, Win. I will always love you." And he said "Love you always Mom." I thought my heart was going to burst.
Thankful for my internship and my supervisor there, who has been incredibly flexible and understanding throughout my pregnancy. She also always makes me feel like she appreciates my work and treats me like an equal rather than an inferior, even though, professionally, I absolutely am. I seriously lucked out in getting placed with her, she's the best!
I am thankful for being surrounded at work by wonderful guys and girls who are very supportive and thoughtful. Though many experience frustrations with people at work being rude or judge-y I am blessed!
Also thankful for things continuing to be "on track" and complication free.
Thankful we picked out a cool new neighborhood (that is affordable!) in our new city for 2016, and DH is excited about job opportunities for him there, too.
Thankful to be back "home" without incident - where we are staying out til LO arrives. 36 weeks today, and DH and I didn't sit together on the plane back. He looked ashen when we met after disembarking and said, "I saw the Red Cross vehicle out there and thought something happened to you!" LOL like I wouldn't have made the stewardess go get him...
Thankful for a healthy pregnancy so far. Didn't realize I am not expressing a lot of excitement until a friend pointed it out. I am just holding my breath til LO gets here, but am obviously beyond excited on the inside...
I am super thankful that my behind neighbor who owns and regularly practices on his drum set is a great musician! Tonight hes playing with a guitarist! Its picking up my mood!
I'm thankful for my hubby, who is hard at work halfway around the world, trying to get everything work related in well before baby comes!
Grateful to my MIL who put me up in her one-story (stairless!!!) house, fed me, bought me some clothes for the hospital, and just made me feel so safe and comfortable while hubby is out of the country for 2 weeks.
Ummm and for ice cream sandwiches. Snarfing away at my second one now. Nom nom nom nom nom nom nom nom nommm!

I am thankful my PRROM (water) miraculously resealed after 3 weeks in the hospital (had c-section scheduled for May 11th which got cancelled) and I got sent home. Tenative hope to make it a few more weeks and not have a preemie. They are still watching me for higher blood pressure and preeclampsia.
I spent a good 20 minutes the other day trying to find the closest Culver's. It's eight hours away. Nevertheless I am thankful that I got to try a cheese curd before I died. Better to have loved and lost...

My nearest Chipotle is an hour and half away. You win, by far, but damnit - I *like* Chipotle even when not pregnant, and its been a mad craving this whole time

And ice cream. I'm thankful for ice cream.
And, as always, I'm thankful for DH and LO
ETA: and also thankful that MH isnt a total asshole all the time.
