Anyone else have labor stop?

So, Monday morning I noticed the bloody show and and the start of contractions that increased in intensity and frequency throughout the day. Went to hospital and was sent home due to only being dialated 1.5 cm, 80% effacement and stage -2. The contractions kept getting increasingly more painful into Tuesday when I went to dr apt where she said I was at 2cm and the baby's head was sitting low so she stripped membranes and said it should be soon. Today, contractions were severe when I woke up but then tapered off through out the day and now I havent had one in over an hour. I don't get what happened? How did I go from being in beginning stage of labor to nothing? Shouldn't I be feeling something if my membranes were stripped? Anyone else going through or had this happen? What did your dr say it was?

    Right there with you. Had contractions all day on Monday. Way stronger than I've ever felt and were relatively regular (ranging from 15 minutes to 9 minutes apart, then down to 6 but then they stopped and shot back up to like 20 mins apart and weaker). We planned to wait to go to the hospital when they hit 5 mins apart. Doctor told me I was 3-4 cm dilated that morning and predicted she may come within 48 hours or at least by Friday. She is still in there and no more regular, strong contractions as of yet so not sure what is going on.

    Same here. I am contracting every
    5-6 mins for 2 days now. They are consistent but not causing dilation. Grrrrrr
