is the 3 month birth control effective after 1 week? I haven't had my period yet.): it was just a couple of in and outs. I know tmi but I'm terrified of being pregnant again.

It should be effective after a couple days. The pills recommend 48 hours before sexual activity. And if you're nursing, your likelihood of pregnancy is even lower.

Don't panic if you don't get a period either. I didn't bleed for 5 years on the shot, it was fabulous!

It's been almost ten years since I was on the shot, but if I remember correctly, I don't believe I got a period at all on the shot! It's extremely effective so I would try not to worry.

Well it's barely been 7 weeks from delivering and I'm still spotting..
