birth control and spotting

I just started taking my bc pill this afternoon (1st pill from the pack, first day) and I noticed I started spotting (really light, clearish-pinkish) like I was gunna get my period. But after a couple hours it's brown already.. Is that normal? Or implantation?

    Same happened to me when I started the mini pill. Lasted for about a week. I knew it wasn't implantation bleeding because I hadn't been active.

    I still haven't stopped bleeding entirely after six weeks, but the mini pill is known for potentially causing spotting. Same goes for the depo shot. If you are concerned about pregnancy, test in a couple weeks. And if you're breastfeeding (which I assume you are if you're on the mini pill), you may continue to bleed and not get a true period for quite some time.
