I post more frequently at the other site, but I wanted to let me friends know over here that our little one arrived Monday!
Momma and baby are doing well!! Sorry I haven't posted sooner, I've been pretty heavily medicated due to my blood pressure remaining high. Valium and Percocet are no joke! Along with an extra BP medicine and some IV fluids. Lol.
Anyway, our little GIRL (!!) Tinsley Adine was born at 1:01 pm on May 4th. She weighed in at 5lbs 9oz and and was 18 inches long. She's doing pretty awesome in the NICU. No need for respiratory support, she came in this world kicking and screaming! She does need some help eating, so she has a feeding tube and an IV to help keep her sugar stabilized and her hydrated. She is perfect in every way, and I am so in love. She is going to be such a Daddy's girl!! He is wrapped around her finger and pretty much parked it in the NICU to visit her while I was still hooked up to the magnesium from surgery.
Surgery went very well! They got her out quickly, and removed the cyst I had as well. They were able to save the ovary, and I was able to hold her while they worked out the cyst. Daddy got to hold her for a while too before they took her to the NICU. Didn't get to do skin to skin, but I am okay with that. I was the first the actually get to hold her once she took up residence in the NICU, so that was nice.
Overall, she's a happy and healthy baby, and we are over the moon!!
