Reclining glider vs. Non-reclining glider?

I never had a glider with my son because we were trying to save money, but I really regret it because I just nursed him in bed and never really found that comfortable.

This time around, we'd like to get an upholstered glider, but not sure whether the reclining function is necessary? Seems like it would be nice to have, but I'd love to hear from you guys.

I liked the recline on ours because I could lay back and rest if I was rocking baby. I would have survived without it though.

  • I would love one that reclines! Those late night feelings would be way better with one.

One that reclines is a MUST! Instead of glider I actually got a lazy boy recliner that rocks, reclines, and has the foot rest that comes up. Life safer when I had my daughter and is now in my living room instead of her room

I find gliders useless when it comes to baby and especially feeding. I prefer a big wide comfy chair with an automan. Way more practical for feeding. Especially if you use a pillow for nursing.
