Re: ***2nd Trimester Check-In 5/4/15 - New Check-In Leader Needed***

  • 27w1d today.  Excited to head to third trimester - the home stretch.  I had a really rough day yesterday with back pain and Braxton Hicks contractions and ended up laying in bed most of the day.  Feeling much better today though.  I have a growth scan with MFM on Wednesday and my GTT on Friday (boooo).  With PCOS and all the IF treatment, I've had more than my fair share of 1 hour / 2 hour / 3 hour glucose tests in the past.  Since no one is able to locate a vein in my left arm, all draws have to come from my right.  Which gets sore and bruised very quickly.  So I'm really praying I pass the 1 hour test so that I can avoid the 3 hour.

QOTW:  I met DH through my sister, who used to cut his hair at her salon.  We met on Thanksgiving in 2001 and quickly realized we really had something great together.  We were married in December 2004.  We hoped to have all of our children before age 30 - ha ha.  As you can see from my siggy things didn't quite work out as planned.  But every obstacle has only made us stronger as a couple and he is a great father to DD and I know he will love the twins just as much.  So excited our little family is growing :-)

  • Yay third trimester!! I have a growth ultrasound in literally minutes, does it make me crazy that I still get really nervous every appointment??

QOTD-we met at a bar through friends that neither of us have kept in touch with a little over ten years ago. It's crazy we connected and stayed together in our early twenties bc we really are sooooo different, but I'm glad we did!

26w2d, I had OB appt. last Thursday, and both babies were really active. Baby A is breach and B is transverse.I have another follow up with OB and growth scan with MFM in 2 weeks at 28 weeks. I have also been feeling lots of Braxton Hicks for the past few days.

QOTD: I met my DH at a family event in January 2006, and got married in December 2007.
  • Hi everyone! I'm 25 weeks 4 days today. Still in the hospital on bed rest. All of my labs and monitoring keep coming back good so the doctors are happy. I have an u/s tomorrow morning to check growth and AFI. Makes me so nervous. I just keep praying I can keep this little boy in me for weeks. DH and I toured the nicu yesterday with one of the nurses. DH took comfort in it and it made me more terrified. Seeing all of those little babies hooked up to these big machines. It's so scary. I'll update tomorrow with my u/s results.

QOTD: DH and I met at a local asphalt race track. His uncle raced and my moms boyfriend raced. I thought he was a creep at first lol...but our 10 year anniversary is May 6 some obviously I changed my mind about him lol

  • @DSculley1824 keep that lo baking!!! Thinking of you!

Afm 23w5d. We set up the crib last night and put together the stroller and car seat. My dh didn't want to wait so now it's all together which is fine by me. :). I need to order the decals for the wall and I have the curtains coming today. I have an appt next week so I'm looking forward to that. Yesterday when I was out walking my hands swelled up so badly I almost couldn't get my rings off. The swelling didn't go down until this morning. Weird.

Qotw: my dh said we met at work ...but I don't remember meeting him there. I only remember meeting him at a friends party. Either way it worked out and I'm thankful it did. He's my balance

  • I'm 16wks 3 days, due October 18, 2015 and not finding out the sex. My husband and I TTC for 5 years, 2007-2012, 6 losses (most at 4-6wks, furthest at 11wks 2 days), no success. Gave up in 2012 and then got a surprise this year when after being "sick" for a month and missing 2 periods I took a HPT before looking for a more serious solution and found out I was 9 wks pregnant. After so many losses, I assumed it would be another one, but I'm now 5 wks further than I've ever been, so it's starting to look more and more like this may be the one.

QOTD-We are both mechanics and met working on cars on July 2, 2002. It was one of those things where you just know, and we got married August 16, 2002. Almost 13 years later, here we are.
  • I am 23 weeks 6 days today. I had my ob appointment on Monday, and everything was looking good. I have been working at home for 3 weeks because my office is under construction, so I have been organizing the house trying to make room for the baby. The nursery is painted and we had new carpet put in. I have the bedding, but we are still waiting on the furniture and curtains because they are on back order. I cant wait to have it all done!

QOTD: I met him at a country western bar during college. My friend grabbed his arm as he walked by, and said how about you dance with this guy and that was it :).

Uro wants us to have another follow up SA 5/9 to see if we see further improvement than we are back to the RE to make a game plan.

  • V DAY!!!! Woot woot!

24 wks today with b/g twins!

Feeling good for the most part. Sleep sucks, but I'm getting used to waking up every 2-3 hrs to pee. The newest thing is carpal tunnel-- did you know you can get that in pregnancy?!? My right wrist hurts so bad- all day long. I have a PT friend who's going to get me a brace to wear at night and see if that helps.

QOTW- we met at work, on his 2nd day. He pushed to date for 6 months before I finally agreed. We're celebrating our 2 year wedding anniversary today :x it's a big day all around!

  • @katers79 - Hope you had a great anniversary.  As for the carpal tunnel - I had it terrible while pregnant with DD.  I could barely sleep because the pain in my hands would wake me up.  Even with the braces. After she was born, pain continued even after swelling went down.  EMG showed serious problems in my right and left hands.  I ended up having a c-section, left carpal tunnel surgery and right carpal tunnel surgery all during my 3 month maternity leave.

Reminder - next week we will need a new check-in leader!!!  (And I'm editing the top post to add the new members of the group - so it should be easy to take over!!) :-)
