I just found out I was expecting baby #2 and my 2 year old is acting up. It is as if he knows and is trying to give me a difficult time on purpose. Any suggestions?

    I think your 2 year old is acting up because he's 2 year's old! I hate to say it but that's how toddlers are. It just gets worse too. Toddlers are wonderful and fun but they are also a handful.

    If you don't have any sort of discipline plan for your toddler then you should probably start thinking about that. I ignore a lot of tantrums and just walk away. Like when my son asks for applesauce and I give it to him then he throws himself on the ground and starts crying because now he doesn't want the applesauce. I ignore that behavior.

    There are also situations that require time out - like hitting or not listening.

    I recommend the book "Happiest Toddler on the Block" but also adjust your expectations and realize that toddlers are difficult and it will be super hard work when baby #2 comes but it will also be great.
