Strange Symptom: Sheets Fading

So here's a random symptom I can find no info on...the last couple days I've noticed the fitted sheet on our bed (which is of course part of our most expensive set) is fading to a pinkish/faded color where my hips/pelvic area lays.  I know my water hasn't broken and I don't sweat much (although have been warmer the last few days), so I'm really at a loss.  All I can find by Dr. Google is that some pregnant women turn their toilet seats blu-ish and it's believed to be a Ph imbalance.  Anyone else experiencing this?

Re: Strange Symptom: Sheets Fading

  • i personally have noticed fading without being pregnant, its just the most used spots, like where you roll around the most that start to fade and wear down. not sure about it being related to pregnancy.

Well, since you are talking pelvic area on your bed, I have to share that I noticed my undies being a lighter color in the crotch long before I was ever pregnant and I've heard it's just due to something in normal vaginal discharge. So pleasant, I know. Ever sleep without undies? Maybe that's what is happening. Other than that, I don't know! I sleep without undies a lot, but don't have any discoloration/fading on my sheets.

My toilet seat turned blue a few months ago!!!!!!!!!!!

Eta: my sheets did it too now that I think about it. They washed out though and hasn't been back in the last 2 months

Totally normal, the PH of your discharge is causing the fading (In response to the undies post)
  • Thanks so much for the responses - I think we'll go with PH in discharge.  Glad to hear it washes out!
  • True - that makes more sense. Will ask my OB Thurs and update the group.

  • What I read said the ph imbalance isn't in your discharge but from the skin in that area which makes more sense to me because the toilet seat thing was like the perfect shape of a butt and I know I wasn't rubbing discharge all around the toilet seat .... Gross visual...

I pictured you snail trailing.. Lmfao :))
  • so the saga continues...I got home only to find that my undies & the bottom of my white shirt are all pink around where they hit my pelvic area/butt (fortunately I didn't wear white pants).  So it's definitely not discharge but something rubbing off my skin in that region. I have a feeling my doc is going to think I'm crazy tomorrow, lol.
