I've been a heel girl all my life, my motto is the higher the better. But since becoming pregnant my husband has banned me from wearing heels higher then 3 inches! He claims it's a safety issue and all my friends back him up. It's so frustrating because I know how to walk in heels and even if I did fall over the baby would be fine. I've asked my doctor and she said I'm right as long as your not uncomfortable and feel steady you can wear what you like, but still I get judgement. I've yet to see a single pair of flats or kitten heels that don't make me gag. If I thought the baby was in danger I'd suck it up but he's not. Does anyone agree with me or does everyone think I'm just being selfish?
Re: Wearing heels yay or nay?
If your doctor says it's fine and you're comfortable I don't see why not. I'm not physically comfortable in heels lately, even though I'm not afraid of falling over, but to each his own.
If my husband ever banned me from them I would probably smack him and ask who he thinks he's talking to lol. He actually helped buckle a pair for me the other week lol
If you and your Doc are comfortable with you wearing them, go for it!
I have to ask Luke the other ladies did, why did you allow your h to ban you from heels, unless you're exceptionally clumsy like me it should be fine?
That said, lots of things can hurt you out there and you have to live your life. So, as long as you understand the risks and are being careful it should be your call.
My husband was just commenting on my gigantic platforms this weekend. He's 6'4" and I'm 5'2", so I've worn high shoes all our marriage (and before). I understood "banning" you as "strongly suggested"...
