Smelly all the time

So, I stink. My armpits and vajajay are awfully smelly, even right after I shower! What the crap? Usually my SO is the stinker. I'm assuming this wonderful odor won't go away until baby girl comes out?? Can I spray my vajajay with something or is that a no no? When I use the bathroom, the pee odor lingers. Fantastic. #smelly

  • I know how you feel lol yay hormones!! I use the summers eve ph balanced wash and it kinda helps with the smell down there
  • Can your SO smell it? I thought I was having the same problem and I asked mine and he called me crazy. So I think it's our heightened sense of smell
  • Yes, this is so annoying! My SO insists is just my preggo nose being sensitive. And supposedly hormones cause women to produce less of the super stinky sweat. I'm not sure my body got the memo on that one, but I'm tentatively trusting my SO.

Unfortunately, there's not much that can be done for the vagina without risking the pH balance, and thus risking infections. I have been known to spray deodorant in the general area (covering my bits very well) just to have something.

    No fun!

    Ewwww gross.

Jk, I actually have noticed the same thing. Very annoying. I wish I could help, but wanted to tell you that #smelly cracked me up.
  • I have been taking a shot of braggs Apple cider vinegar every day for about 6-9 months. It's supposed to help with ph balance internally. I have not had any more odor or discharge since finding out I was pregnant as many others have mentioned. Not sure if that has anything to do with it. But there is natural enzymes and bacteria in that particular brand.

  • I was having this problem but switched to long baths twice a day instead of two showers and my normal smell has returned yaaay!
  • So glad I'm not the only one. I thought I was crazy. Right after a shower I still smell. So frustrating!!!
  • You are not alone! DH has noticed it too (when in close proximity). It's so embarrassing and I bathe everyday, but it's part of the hormones so it is what it is...

  • I feel like I smell also, but my husband doesn't smell anything so it's just this pregnancy nose :( I have noticed that my pits are starting to smell too even though I wear deodorant and I'm not really sweating... Might try a new deodorant just to see but my husband swears I don't stink. He does stinks though haha.
  • I did smell like a lingering pee smell so I started drinking cranberry juice, the one that is actually juice not sugar juice, and that smell went away pretty quickly. I also suggest you don't use any sprays or douches as they can lead to infections and irritations and are generally not healthy for your girly bits.
  • You ladies are awesome! We can be smelly together. Lol My SO does smell it. He has mentioned it a few times that he can smell the lingering odors after I pee. I told him I smell the lingering odors after he poops, so there. I'm making a baby. Lol He is very supportive but the odor is definitely there. I may try the apple cider vinegar but not sure if I can. My stomach is extremely sensitive, even at 21 weeks. If something smells or looks different, I can't put it in my mouth. My SO is lucky I can still do some wifely things in bed...for now. #trynottogag Can't take baths, well, maybe if it's cold water. I am like a furnace right now. Hot all the time.

#trynottogag! Bwahahaha! Love it! Seems like my gag reflex is ultra sensitive with pregnancy. Same with brushing teeth! Hubby's lucky. =))

I use an antibacterial body wash that helps with the pregnancy stank. And I'm liberal with the Degree these days. Some body washes may look/smell really good, but make sure it says "antibacterial" - especially those of us having a c-section, you'll need to clean the incision with that kind of soap. I just use a Dial variety.
  • @dgriffith74 I always use Femfresh when I bathe (ph balanced).... I also have the "benefit" that my hubby can't smell a thing (literally!!) so if it's been a particularly hot day - he wouldn't even know haha!! But going back to the apple cider vinegar thing... It's also possible to bathe in it, which could help?!?! I used this method a couple of years ago after I had an imbalance in my ph levels & was uncomfortable down there following a combination of antibiotics & the fruit diet!! And you just add a couple of cups of Apple cider vinegar to the (cool!!) bath water and have a little soak - that sorted me out back then?! X_X
