Twin girls!

Yesterday my husband and I found out our twins are girls! We were both so sure that they were boys we hadn't even discussed girl names. So we've been talking and I've always loved Sadie as it was my great grandmas name. Today my husband suggests Kennedy. I like it but is Sadie too traditional and Kennedy too modern? I don't think their names need to match or start with the same letter or anything like that. I also feel like Kennedy is becoming popular.

    Kennedy was on my list too...

    I'm going with Selah D'Nae and either Carys Meliea or sloane Meliea...

    Sadie and Kennedy are pretty popular.

    But I really like them... I don't feel like they go together but I wasn't to concerned about that with my twins so I don't know how you feel...

    I don't like matchy twin names, but Sadie and Kennedy are very different. I think you can find a better fit with Sadie, something more classic. Maybe you could find another great grandmother's name to use, too?

    First, congrats!

    Secondly, Kennedy is just bad. I would love to know where the whole let's name our daughters after dead presidents trend came from.

    But yes, I would choose something not a surname to pair with Sadie. Maybe something unfussy, like Sloane, Maeve, or Thea?

    I am sssooooo over Kennedy . So much so, that I am disappointed when I here it. Please pick your daughter a nice girls name. Sadie is nice because it was your grandmothers name. Don't you have another relative you can name the other on after? I suggest Sadie and Nina

    I think they are too different. I'd keep Sadie not Kennedy. I guess I tend to go matching as my style though...some ideas:

    Although I do think Kennedy is cute I think I'm over it. For some reason I like the name Caroline. And I feel like it pairs better with Sadie. Thank you all for your in put!

    No periods due to 17 years of ballet and distance running after college.  Zero response to 2 months of Clomid, little response to Letrozole.  IUI left with 9 cysts = too many viable eggs due to age.  On to IVF.  Low dose of all meds still produced 37 mature eggs 12.6.11.  Froze due to overstimulation.  

    FET #1.1 1.22.12 BFN.   FET #1.2 2.22.12=GRACE! (and a vanishing twin).  

    Grace Katherine born 10.25.12 @ 36w6w 6#14oz 19.5".
    FET #1.3 3.2013 BFN FET#1.4 4.2013 BFN. Never tried a fresh transfer.  Let's try, despite 10 still frozen.  
    ER 6.26.13 27 mature eggs, slight overstim. ET   7.1.13 ectopic, FET 2.1  9.10.14   TRIPLETS!!  

    Boys born 3.18.14 @ 29w5d.  Andrew Jack 3#6oz 16", Grant Robert 3#9oz 16", Charles Phillip 3#7oz 17".

    Congrats!

    I like Sadie but I'm not a fan of Kennedy....I think there's a much better name you could pair with Sadie

    Not beginning with the same letter but ending with the same sound is nice. They are different but fit together and have the same number of syllables

    Kennedy is bad. Sadie is cute and your other daughter deserves just as fresh and spunky a name. Suggestions (sorry if there are repeats):

    Congrats on two girls!

    Sadie is also our top choice for a girl. Other names on my list, that I like with Sadie, include...

    Elise or Eliza
    Claire
    Lydia
    Diana
    Abigail
    Joy

    I also like Elizabeth/Elisabeth as a middle name for Sadie.

    I think Kennedy is too trendy and doesn't go at all with Sadie. What about Sadie and Elise?

    @brita722 we have decided their middles names will be Marie and Elizabeth after my husband and I's moms. We like Sadie Marie but depending on the other name we choose we could always swap and use Sadie Elizabeth instead, I like either. Nothing is set in stone of course, who knows maybe we'll end up not using Sadie at all. Names shouldn't be this hard!

    I thought that too. People think naming 2 should be easier bc you don't have to choose between names you love but man I've found it WAY harder... Double everything and you want them to flow together and to equally love both names haha...

    Amelia and isla are really pretty. I wanted Amelia but with the mn Meliea Amelia Meliea doesn't go lol...

    Just say the names you like over and over and if you love it it will stick and if it's not right you'll know...

    @sweetpeasmom315, I wouldn't pair Sadie with middle name Marie because both end in "ie" and with the same sound... just too similar to me. I like Sadie Elizabeth much better.
