Yes! However, I know that it is me who is being irrational most of the time. So, I am trying to tone it down and when I start feeling annoyed I stop myself and ask myself if there is really a reason for me feeling this way.

I hope it gets better for you!

  • @leah665 makes a good point. Keep working on recognizing when you're feeling overly agitated by a behavior, and work to temper it with calm, rational thoughts, or remove yourself so you can relax and refocus. It's important that you're noticing that it feels unusual and unlike you, so now you can take the next step to working on coping with that feeling rather than lashing out.

  • That's hormones for you, but you don't want to alienate everyone. I assume you usually don't have a temper, which makes it hard when you suddenly get one out of nowhere because nobody expects it and you don't have any experience managing it. The reason people say count to ten is to give yourself a chance to think before you speak. That's probably the best thing you can do for yourself and those around you who love you but may be a little hurt - just pause for a second when you feel that way. Think about what you're feeling and whether it is rational or not. If you have a valid complaint, try to frame it in "I statements" like "My feet have been really swollen and I need more help around the house right now." rather than accusations like "You never do anything around here." When you determine you're just being hormonal and irrational, understand that you're uncomfortable right now but try not to take it out on people, and when you realize you already have, just apologize and know this is only a temporary issue.
  • I'll be 18 weeks tomorrow and have been having major issues with anxiety, depression and just being plain out mean! My husband drives me up a wall and some days all I get done doing is screaming at him. Sometimes I even catch myself questioning why I'm so upset. These hormones are for sure no joke. I talked with my doctor about two weeks ago and started an antidepressant. I'm not seeing major improvements yet, but I'm not as hateful as I was! I've calmed down some and am not getting as stressed out so easily. It's been a rough few weeks tho! Hang in there, and definitely talk with your doctor.
  • yeah i definitely realize that theres nothing at all that should upset me. at least not all the time. sometimes there are legit reasons to be annoyed or whatever, but its whatever. this is my second pregnancy nd i never had any symptom what so ever. this time i have.morning sickness, migraines, nd this awful anxiety nd depression.

at least im not a lone nd am alsp understood. i know its the hormones, just having a hard time dealing i guess
  • Do you know what your having yet? Everyone guessed girl for me because of how sick I was and how moody I am... I'm having a girl :) lol.
  • no i find out the end of the month. i had a girl the first time, so everyone's saying boy cos of the sickness nd everything. so couple more weeks nd we'll find out!
