no seriously .. It's right there but I can't do it (tmi) And then 2 days later I get a sharp stabbing cramp I can go I can't keep waiting two days . I drink A LOT of water . And ALOT of fibre intake . I must poop.
The cramps are most likely from being backed up. Not related to pregnancy, but I once couldn't poop for an entire week, it was awful. You could try eating a lot of greens if you don't already, it seems to speed up the process, at least for me anyways. If it doesn't, you may need to go to your doctor so they can give you something
It's going to sound strange, but take a little step stool into the bathroom to test your feet on. (Google squats potty) It puts things in a better position to go, but also- increase your water intake by like a million (approximately) and make sure your eating good fiber rich foods. Easier said than done, but it does help.
I know you are already doing the fiber thing but if you haven't yet, try eating frosted mini wheats for breakfast. I started that last week and it has made me a regular gal again.
Every couple of days I get backed up which causes cramping pains and causes me toss and turn all night. My doctor told me to take Metamucil. It has definitely helped.
I get like this... It's more I go in the morning but I can't seem to go after that even though I feel like I need to?! (Tmi now) but I used to go 4-5 times a day now it's once if that but I feel like I need to allllll day
My midwife gave me a couple of tips to help with constipation. Fresh grated beets on your salad. Chia seeds will also help (and make great pudding, somewhat like tapioca).
I had this problem a few weeks ago and was spotting when I would finally go because I was pushing so hard (tmi sorry) so my obgyn told me to take a probiotic. When we went to get some they seemed pricey so my healthy eating husband suggested I eat yogurt, fruit, and a high fiber cereal for breakfast. It has worked every morning since. I can actually hear my stomach gurgle while I am eating it. Ha ha. Good luck!
I take a tablespoon of metamucil with water every single morning, and it keeps me regular throughout pregnancy...same deal for when I was pregnant with my son! I swear by it.

I had the same problem my doc told me to take miralax 3x daily and milk of magnesia 2x daily until problem resolved.... did not take long at all and have not had any issues since

I'm not a doctor but I would recommend a good probiotic too. One that needs to be refrigerated. I read somewhere about the baby getting their gut flora from yours so yours should be nice and strong.
I apologize in advance for TMI but I am having the same issue. I went to the bathroom today for the first time in a couple days and when I wiped there was blood. I made sure where it was from but still freaked out a little. Talked to my doctor and they said Metamucil was the way to go and to stop eating cheese. I'm already drinking about 3 liters of water a day... i dont know if i can drink much more.

I have this same problem too, it's scary but I finally found out what was causing the spotting so thanks for the post. Prune juice with a teaspoon of Metamucil works for me every time.
I was right there with you. Dr. Had me take a double dose of milk of mag in the mornings and stool softener 3 times a day. Two days later and I feel soooo much better!
I was having the same problem! I went to the grocery store and bought a ton of fruit and have been eating that constantly. A half a cantaloupe a day, grapes, strawberries, and getting flax seed into a smoothie. I've been regular for 3 days now!
I completely sympathize! I'm going through the exact same thing!! The morning sickness means I've been mostly eating carbs.. Not great when it comes to going to the bathroom!
I've had the worst cramps for the last two days! Saw the doctor today and he gave me something to help. Fingers crossed!
It's one of the worst feelings in the world being backed up. Believe it or not but excess fiber without enough hydration can cause that, your intake water might not be enough compares to your fiber intake. Some prenatal can make you extremely constipated as well, check if what you're taking has non constipating iron.
If you want to avoid medication what I always do, grandmas all recipe and trust me it works every single time. Papaya and prune juice, not store bought, blended at home, one glass after dinner. It doesn't sound yummy but it definitely works

Fresh squeezed OJ. P foods like peaches, pears, prunes, & peas. Too much fiber can cause constipation too. Try adding magnesium to your diet, take a supplement or soak in some epsom salts daily (sounds like a good reason for a nice bath or foot soak!). Good luck I know how horrible it can be!
ETA: other not as healthy options are dark chocolate, coffee and black licorice
Same issues over here and I take fiber daily as well as eat food high in fiber. I was going 3 to 5 days between BM so my doc told me to take Milk of Magnesia at night - it's a life saver! Very gentle, it just pulls that water into your intestines - I drink a ton of water as well, so it was very gentle transition
I think my prenatal is making it so bad. I have IBS but had it mostly under control before I got pregnant and started taking that vitamin. I'm asking my doc about switching to shakeology and folic acid. Shakeology always helped me move better!
If you take prenatals, it will clog your system and make you constipated. My nurse said it's safe to take a stool softener, but I can deal with it. We'll just wait to see if it becomes unbearable.
