6 weeks 1 day, only yolk sac

Hello. I had an ultrasound today & the gestational and yolk sac were there but no baby or fetal pole

Also I had bloodwork on Tuesday and if I remember right the HcG was 20,500 and I had some done today (Friday) and she said the numbers didn't "exactly" double which is why she ordered the ultra sound. Have any of y'all had an experience with either of these? If it was just one or the other I'd be okay I think but considering it's both I'm pretty worried

I had both of these and I'm now at nine weeks and have seen a strong, fast heartbeat. At my 6 week appointment they could see fetal sac but nothing else, and my HCG levels stopped doubling after 20,000 around 6 weeks as well (they still went up, but doubled over 3-4 days, not two). Try and relax, worrying won't do anything but make you crazy. Good luck

When I went for my first hb check at 7 weeks my Dr. also said it was a bit slow and acted really concerned, but then at 8 weeks it was fast and she said everything looks great. I think some babies just develop at their own rates and doctors jump to be stressed about it, which stresses us mommas out too much for no reason. They'll catch up

I believe as long as your levels increase it is a good sign, just have monitoring. My levels didn't double in the three days between the tests, and at my first sono they *thought* they saw a pole but couldn't be positive, hence the retesting. Good luck mama, just try to relax and not stress

The same thing is happening to me . I had an ultrasound last week and there was no baby visible but the yolk sac was there! I am a little worried but I feel that he is in there!!! I have another ultrasound this Wednesday so I really hope there's a change!!!:) Thanks for the hopeful post!!!

I'm sitting waiting to do blood now. I thought I was 6w2d, but there's a sack no visible baby. Well u can see something but it's nothing like it should be at 6 weeks. So I'm about to do blood and come back on Wednesday. I am a little bummed. The doc said everything is normal I might just be earlier than I though. Hope everything is ok. I really wanted to see a heartbeat today.

I too am Going through this same thing... Based on my LMP when I went for my first sonogram I should have been 8 weeks but I measured at 6 weeks. There was a sac and no baby or yolk sac. I went in for the blood work on Friday and again on Monday. On Friday my levels were at 24,000... Monday only at 31,000. So the doctor called and asked that I get in for a sonogram by the end of this week. It's certainly concerning and worrisome going through it alone but for some reason I just have hope and faith that things will work out.. Some reassurance would be nice tho! Oh yeah.: I forgot to add this is my first pregnancy and I didn't think I could get pregnant.

Went for my ultrasound today and the baby was there with a heartbeat!!! Dr still thinks it is not going well but I am going to prove him wrong!!!! Hope all is well with your baby!!!:)

With my first pregnancy it was the same way. I was 6w3d when I had an ultrasound with my now 2 year old. My on told me to come back in 2 weeks for a second ultrasound and there she was. Heart was beating at 168bpm and I couldn't have been more happier. It was the longest 2 weeks ever.. Sending happy thoughts

Everything was good! I saw the heartbeat and baby! We were a week behind in our calculations! I must have ovulated later! I'm only 6 weeks 1 day!

Same thing is happening to me. I was supposed to be 6 wks exact, but he said it's measuring 5 - 5 1/2 weeks and just the sac. I go back on Monday. I had a miscarriage previously, but I feel good about this because I feel so bad (nausea, sore breasts...).

I was following your post this week and I'm very happy you saw the heartbeat and the baby!! I went last week and the only calculated me at 4wks and only saw the sac, I go back Monday I'll be 1 day shy of 6 wks so I'm really hoping to hear at least a heart beat! Good luck with everything!

I've been following this post now and am very happy you received good news. It's given me some hope as well. By my LMP I should have measured at 9 weeks but I only measured at 5w6d. We saw the yolk sac and fetal pole. But because I am measuring 3 weeks small, it has been quite nerve racking. I go back for another ultrasound on monday, my first was on Friday. Just anxiously waiting. Glad everything worked out for you, gave me some hope!

Not sure, how to feel...started having some light bleeding with some cramping friday and it increased through the weekend. Went in for an u/s today. Thought I was 7w 5d but measured 6w 3d. Saw yolk and fetal pole but no heartbeart. Had bloodwork and go back wed to check hcg level. Dr. thought bleeding and cramping were probably due to a corpus lutum cyst rupture...worried
