My 4.5 yo dd just asked if she could rub my feet and did each one for about 3 mins. Then she said... "Mommy do you want to go lay down for a sec, you have been moving around a lot this morning and you're pregnant. I can get my breakfast and turn on cartoons. I promise I won't need anything." Omg!!! I have a lover on my hands

What thoughtful things have your kids done for you while pregnant?

  • My 14 year old is a sweetie.  She's always helping me and shows concern when I am doing too much.  Gotta love em! :)

My 2 yo notices when I'm in pain or don't feel good and she will come to me and say "mommy you ok?" And will rub my back, belly or feet. Such a sweet heart. And then when we are shopping she tries to gete to buy things by saying its for the baby lol
  • My 5 year old son came into bed to snuggle this morning and the first thing he did was rub my belly and say "the baby will be here soon" he's been super cute for the most part.
  • I watch a 4yo on the weekends, and she was practicing with the baby stuff and a doll, and she told me to rest because "this is hard work" then she snuggled with me and said "even I need to rest, but she keeps popping!" She is very excited to be a mothers helper. Although, she was upset that we couldn't put her in the basket on her bike... So cute!

I'm having the first one, but I think it could be wonderful experiencing all that kindness that big sisters and brothers show to mummy. They are all cute and treasures
  • My 8 year old son wrote a list of responsibilities he will have when his brother gets here, like changing diapers and bottle feeding when I'm to tired to breast feed lol. So sweet but doubtful he will in the end.

My 9 year old daughter said to me "Everyone says it's going to be such hard work but you don't have to worry coz I'm going to be helping alot!" So sweet but I'm sure the novelty will wear off after a week or so... She is super sweet though, a real mother hen... Keeps asking me if I feel ok and if baby is still moving etc... Bless her xx
  • My husband has been spending all his free time gaming since he got out of the army so he often asks me to get him stuff from downstairs or something so he doesn't have to get up. My 3 year old has told him "no daddy, stairs make mommy tired and then I can't play with her". Or he says "I'll get it mommy! You can keep resting". Or my favorite, "Do you want a snack?" fruits are within his reach and those are our snacks :)
  • Well, today my (nearly) 6-year-old DD was a horror and made ME cry (DH came to the rescue). However, most of the time she's pretty good. The other day she tried to convince me of the many things we needed for her baby brother while I kept telling her to "wait until after the shower is over".

Yesterday, though, I hit my toe on a step ladder in my kitchen (I'm short, I needed it to reach the top shelves) and cried out. She ran into the kitchen with fear in her eyes going: "Mama, are you okay? Did you hurt yourself? Did you fall? Is my brother okay?"

The best things lately has been the fact that she's been trying to be "a big girl" and get her own stuff. She gets her own water, she'll try to get her own food, etc. so I don't have to move.

  • One day I came home and asked "so, does anyone want to run my feet? (Hint hint DH) and my sweet 5 year old boy yelled ME!! He was so excited. He is so sweet as well! He also says he has a monkey in his belly & poufs it out. :o)
