Tylenol

Sorry ladies I'm sure this had been asked already and I tried to search for previous post but my head is killing me and I haven't come up with anything. Is Tylenol safe to take while pregnant? I have a splitting headache that has been here since I found out I'm pregnant. Today has been hell and I just can't take it anymore. I also have called the doc but of course haven't gotten a call back...that's a whole other issue. My last baby is about to be 7 so I don't remember. Thanks

Yes, Tylenol is ok to take when pregnant. My neurologist actually told me to take it for my chronic migraines, since I can't take any of the prescription meds I was on before
  • Thank y'all so much. I usually just suffer through but I just can't anymore.
  • I was cutting my extra strength in half haha. I was never told what Mg I could take. How much are you ladies taking?
  • I was told by the PA who saw me at my first appointment that Tylenol was the only pain reliever I could take, but she never gave a restiction. My tailbone was killing be so I was taking them and following te bottles instructions.

Also, and this might sound really dumb, but we have a Costco amount of Kirkland brand acetaminophen.... I'm assuming that generic brand is the same as Tylenol?
  • When I was having splitting head aches that were so bad j couldn't even sleep. I took 2 extra strength. One did not work.

  • Generic brand is the same medicine! Just follow the directions on the bottle in regards to how much to take.
  • My OB said sometimes Tylenol may not help much & to try caffeine which might work better - like drinking 1 or 1/2 can of regular coca-cola. I've tried this in the past and it's worked for me!

Same thing, Tylenol just the name brand for it, generics are exactly the
    Same
  • Tylenol is fine. Just try to watch your dosage if you're taking it every day. Otherwise, you should be A-OK. For those of you in other countries, Tylenol is the same thing as panadol/paracetamol
  • I've been in so much pain and I wasn't taking anything so finally I talked to my doctor and he prescribed me 1000 mg of Tylenol Extra Strength every 6 hours as needed!
  • Yep! It is! Just don't take Advil, ibuprofen or anything like that. Tylenol only or basic store brand acetaminophen!!! Also mine said one Tylenol pm is ok every once in awhile. Hope you feel better!!!
