Rash

The last few weeks the bottoms of my feet have been so itchy, and it's getting to the point now where it wakes me at night and I have to ice them until they're numb so I can go back to bed. My doctor chalked it up to them being so sweaty and swollen. Tonight, though, I noticed there's a rash on the bottom of each one. Anyone else have something similar? Nothing on my bump, so I'm assuming it's not PUPP. I had asked about cholestasis and she didn't think that was likely so maybe it is just from them being swollen and sweaty all the time. It's just such a horrible place to have an itch! I put in an email to her tonight so I should hear back from her tomorrow but I thought I'd ask if any of you ladies were suffering from this too.

Re: Rash

  • If your feet have been sweaty and you've been wearing shoes without socks you might have athlete's foot. However my feet have been ridiculously itchy too and I'm pretty sure I don't have it. I just wish I could reach them to scratch!

My itchy I discovered was due to socks, once I started going barefoot it cleared up in a couple day and I haven't been bothered since.

I would still push for a blood test to double check for choleostasis, I've got it and I only had mind itching on the bottoms of my feet which has gone away now due to the medication I'm on. But if someone hadnt of told me about it I wouldn't of known, my midwife was quick to test for it when I mentioned so I would push for a blood test just for peace of mind. Mine were itchy mainly on a night and it would keep me up. If it's not that it could just be swelling that's making them itchy, try a cooling foot and leg gel before you go to sleep? :)
  • I'll ask for that today! Thank you! I've tried the cooling gel and Benadryl. I get slight relief for a little while with Benadryl so I'll keep using that for now.
