Trying to Get Pregnant

A few questions......

hi there, just two unconnected questions.1) I have increased my water intake and introduced green tea to try to help cm, but wondering if this is going to dilute an LH surge as I am running to the toilet a lot more?
2) I started kettlebells and a spin class a month before ttc, are these safe to do while trying?

Thanks!

I am a frequent pee-er too, regardless of water intake it feels. Honestly, when you know you'll be POAS, try to limit water before. Not sure of the exact time frame though.

Working out is fine! Though as someone who recently injured herself going too HAM at the gym, don't over do it and listen to your body. But being fit and healthy altogether is better for you and your future baby. You may just need to scale things back if/when you get your BFP.

    Good luck!

    1) Yes. After lunch don't drink anything else. Test around 2:00-3:00

    2) Yes it is safe, and recommended.

That's bad news for me. I usually start chugging water at that point. I think I have to give up coffee once and for all now :( Bummer

@missteacherlady16 I mean you won't necessarily absolutely miss it. It's just that early afternoon is when your surge will really show, and drinking a lot will obviously dilute your urine.

Why do you get a surge in early afternoon? Sorry ladies, I was lurking! ;;)

LH surge usually happens early in the morning & doesn't show in urine until later in the day. That being said, every woman is different and vary from that generalization.

Try to test between 2-8 pm to catch your surge.

Some women surge longer than others. Surges can be as short as 12 hours but if you're testing within that time frame, you should catch it.

  • I drink a ton of water as well. After a few months of using OPKs I'm fairly certain that the darkest my line will ever get is almost as dark as the test line- never as dark, as it's supposed to be i.e. as dark for a positive.

  • I use the CBAD OPK. I test once (fmu) until I get a flashing "high" fertility. Then I test 3x per day until I get a solid "peak" fertility.

I am not much of a fluid intake person though.
When 3x per day I do fmu, 12pm, and 6pm. So I make sure no fluids past 10am until I test...then no fluids past 4pm until I test.

Not everyone likes the CBAD since they are kind of expensive and the flashing smiley can be a little frustrating. I just don't trust my "line eye" with the non digital tests.

Good luck to you. Hope you get your bfp soon
