Painful baby movements

hi, I'm 37+2 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby. Baby gets really active during the early evening but to the point where it really hurts now.
I literally hold my breath when she has her 'mad 1/2 hour'
It feels like she is going to burst the waters.
Has anyone else experienced this? I don't remeber it from the 1st time round xx

Re: Painful baby movements

  • Yes! I haven't found relief. Eviction is soon enough. She's just so crammed in there it hurts when she moves.

  • Yes. It's normal. As u get further you have more baby than amniotic fluid and you can feel the movements more as they have less room. One time it felt like she was literally scratching my insides. I'm pretty much all baby so when she moves u can see her little knees and feet poking thru it looks like and feels like she's gonna kick thru the skin.
  • Yes! It's happening this time and happened with my first baby too. I have to get up and move around.

  • Yep. He loves to stretch out and press his feet right against whatever large nerve he can find at the time.

  • Same here. Baby's knee or elbow is constantly jutting out of my side. It's painful and looks weird, too!  She's also most active after dinner (dessert) in the evening! :-P

  • With my first baby it was like "awe the baby is moving" and with this one it's like "OMG he is trying to break out of me hulk style!" Lmao!
  • Phew! Thanks for your replys. I can also feel her head almost turning from side to side moving further down. It feels like a screw turning! Not much longer now hopefully x
  • Yep! I mean it's crazy. I feel like she is doing somersaults in there!

  • Omg yes!!! At least I'm not crazy. I mentioned it at the doctor and he just laughed. I don't think it's funny!!!! She is killing me! and her feet are up under my ribs. Ouch!!! Hang in there moms!
  • Just shows how strong the membranes are (sack of water) x
  • I do feel pain but only where my right ribs are that's where she tucks her feet and kicks away. My aunty is a midwife and told me I can push her down it won't hurt her but when I try doing that she just fights back and gets even higher in there ahhh

Same here! First was a girl and this time a boy so I'm in for a treat when he's in his twos.
