Why in particular are you have pain there? Is it because of swelling? If it is I just asked my dr about having that problem yesterday and she said it's either just swelling or varicose veins, but either way there's not much you can do about it.

She reccomeneded soaking in a bath with witch hazel or some kind of witch hazel patch they have for hemeroids. It won't make it go away but it will help.

The other thing she reccomeneded was sitting on a yoga ball because it will help open open up your pelvic area and maybe relive some of the blood that's pooling there.
  • Does it feel muscular? My inner thighs/bagina area has felt like a pulled muscle for weeks. Putting on pants/socks is hard. Turning in bed is impossible without sitting straight up. It's very hard.

Look up Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction. My doctor didn't mention this but it explains me perfectly.

I've found that stretching some does help very temporarily. Warm baths. Taking things slow and methodical when doing movements that can set it off.

Just ignore me if this isn't the pain you're describing. :)

  • Pretty much in the same boat as me. I discovered that I was VERY swollen in there. I've been dealing with it for about 4 months now and the farther along I get the more swollen I get. Pretty much because of the blood flow. Nothing I can do about it so I'm just waiting it out like the dr said.
  • If it's labial/vaginal pain try witch hazel, tucks pads, or dermaplast.    You can also make some padsicles that could relieve the pain.   If it's internal/muscular, I don't know what would help but a chiropractor might be able to help some.

  • I'm having some inner soreness in that area too. I thought I had a UTI, but my last OB visit and urine test confirmed it's not. My doctor said it's just normal swelling which I did read about. My mom said it's just my body getting ready for delivery.
  • Based upon the info in the post I'm not really sure about what kind of pain that you are having but most pregnancy related pain in that area, (aside from an infection), can be addressed and helped by a pelvic floor physiotherapist (which is a type of practitioner where I live, they might have different title where you are from).
  • Thanks every one! I ended up back at hospital today as it got so severe during the night I was only short of crawling! They said there really isn't a lot they can do for the pain but recommend physio therapy and a belly band I begged for some pain relief an they refused an said I can get some myself over the counter but only take when I think needed all is well with baby so it's rest up for the duration!
  • Very frustrating. I hope you find some relief with what they suggested.
