Bahaha Seriously?! ANOTHER side effect/symptom???

I just have to vent - but could there BE any more symptoms/side effects of pregnancy? It seems like every time I think I have them all under control, another one pops up! My latest: dark patches in my armpits. My armpits. Did a search and found out - guess what?! - it is symptom of pregnancy. Like, my underarms are bad enough already, can't they just stay normal!?! :-t Haha It is all worth I know, I know #bundleofjoy but man, does mother nature make us work for it!!

) In honor of these weird and constantly increasing symptoms, I have come up with a new game that I play with my husband called "You are either dying or pregnant" - it feels like with all these wacky symptoms, if we weren't pregnant it would be a sign that something was seriously wrong!

What crazy symptoms are all of you experiencing? Rant and vent away!!

I keep seeing stars! It's driving me insane! My ob checked by blood pressure and everything was all good, he said I pretty much just have to deal with it

I feel like my "pregnancy glow" is more of a nuclear implosion. My hair, which is supposed to be awesome...is horrible. Greasy and brittle, I hate it. My face is like a pizza. GROSS. And my skin is so dry it looks like it could be a small snowstorm on my black clothes. No matter that I slather myself in lotion and cocoa butter like 3 times daily. I am soooo stretchy feeling and achy...I don't know how I can possibly get any bigger than I am! I feel like I am already bigger now than I was when I gave birth last time!!!! Ugh.

Obviously I need to go to bed. hahaha

@agiroir Oh man, perfect example! When else would a doctor say, "Oh you are seeing stars? Yeah, that sounds normal - just deal with it." Only in pregnancy, right?! Seriously, pregnant woman are freaking warriors! To think that we are out and about doing so many things, while dealing with so many symptoms, aches, and pains, AND creating life in our wombs? We are freaking amazing. Just saying.

@hrossi253 I feel your pain! I am a FTM so I don't have anything to compare it to, but so far my thoughts are that the first 20 weeks are when you get bigger than you ever thought imaginable, and then the last 20 weeks are just a cruel, cruel joke :P

I get darker underarms and I hate it. It's the only part I hate about being pregnant in the summer because I refuse to wear tank tops due to it. In a previous pregnancy I casually mentioned how annoying it was to DH and he said, "Oh! I didn't know the skin was darker there. I thought you gave up shaving!" I'm so pale and the skin darkened so much he thought it was hair!

It took awhile to go away for me too. Baby IS worth it but this is one symptom that drives me bonkers.

I wore a black shirt and could have sworn that I had rub-off from the shirt onto my pits. I washed and washed and it didn't go away. Worst pregnancy symptom. There goes summer shirts.

Well let's see, my favorite symptom by far is the stuffy nose and frequent nose bleeds. How did I not know this was gonna happen to me?!

I don't see stars but I get weirdly light sensitive and sometimes my eyes like...give up for lack of a better term for it and I can't get them to focus. Doc checked my bloodpressure too and said it's probably because of veins having more blood in them = more pressure. I also get complex migraines in pregnancy where I basically feel like I'm having a stroke and my hands and face go numb (usually on only one side, sometimes on both). I don't have them when not pregnant. So fantastic.

my "favorite" symptom is heart palpitations! doctor wasn't even worried, just "you're pregnant, deal with it". I haven't had the armpit thing yet!

Yeah, I thought the morning sickness, nose bleeds, palpitations, headaches, constant peeing, and lack of sleep were enough. Now baby seems to be resting on a nerve, because the upper part of my thigh falls asleep if I'm standing or walking for more than 15 minutes. Nothing really surprises me any more!

When I first got pregnant my mom was mad at me because I wasn't excited when the doc called with my blood test results to say I was pregnant. I just told her "Well mom, I'm 2 weeks late, took 3 positive at home tests, and I feel like crap. I'm either pregnant or dying!"

I've yet to experience the full lustrous hair-in fact I'm losing more than usual!

I'm taking vitamins c, e and rubbing Argan oil hoping this will help

My lips are chapped no matter how much Vaseline or lip gloss or carmax I slather on them daily . once it was so chapped I smiled and my bottom lip exploded. Blood everywhere lol

I think the best part of it all is that my doctor can't give me an explanation for any of my symptoms beyond "Well, hormones". Be more specific. What are the hormones DOING that makes everything on my body hurt/shed/flake?! Hormones is not an answer!

I haven't had anything odd yet but in my first pregnancy, my butt turned the toilet seat blue from the frequent pee trips. Google it! It happens. My toilet seats in my new home are still porcelain and white soooo...we'll see. Something about the hormones. Haha! Another one from my last one was this, idk what you would call it...I basically had a scratch that wouldn't stop bleeding. It eventually turned into a scab but it became so black. I was terrified to touch it. My dog was a puppy at a time and accidentally knocked it off and the damn thing just kept bleeding so I called my OB and had her look at it. Apparently that can happen in pregnancy. Your body changes so much, weird things happen. After my son was born, no more weird bleeding scab. I'm still waiting for my toilets to turn blue. Haha!

Oh no! That sounds painful. I could be wrong but I thought I read a study a few years back that said those items are actually designed to dry your lips to make you want to apply them more so you buy them more. I may be remembering wrong but try another product to see if it helps.

So I'm not dying cause I'm seeing stars?! Haha like I wasn't worried but I was haha mine is I now can't see anything! I seat contacts but I've got to go get new ones. And my crotch is like asleep when I wake up. Guess sleeping with a pilow in between my legs to help my hips makes my crotch go to sleep haha

I have also noticed slightly darkened armpits, but the bacne! At least it's not all over my face, but it's really hard to exfoliate the very middle of your back which is of course where it's the worst.

i'm glad we can suffer together! So sometimes my tongue and lips go numb, usually while eating. Doctor has no idea why

I see little black things move in the corner of my vision. It's annoying, but doctor said everything was fine. I can't believe some of these things that I am hearing people deal with! The blue toilet seat is the best!
