so I was in my local boots store today and managed to pick up a electronic breast pump for £31 reduced from £125, im really happy as all the reviews on it are fab. So I thought It be fun to do a post on your best baby bargin
I have a collection of baby clothes ranging in size from newborn to 24 months that I bought off the clearance rack and sometimes in addition to rewards certificates and military discounts. All at 50% off or more and some as much as 90% off!
Besides all the amazing hand me down clothes and toys we've received from friends, I hit the jackpot at a garage sale last weekend. I got a mamaroo (looks brand new!) For $60!! It was the highlight of my weekend since I never would have spent $240+ to get one brand new.
I got the medela freestyle for free. Originally I had to pay $142 because it was considered an upgrade by my insurance company and then the other day I received a notice that I got a refund and the insurance covered the entire thing. I don't know why that changed but I was stoked!
Our best bargain is that almost every single thing on our registry was bought and the only thing we've actually purchased for DS so far is a dresser from IKEA! I will be scanning garage sales and the Baby Bargains book for other stuff as it comes up- a friend of mine just bought a BOB stroller at a yard sale for $100
A bunch of baby overalls, expensive brands, at the thrift for 1.91!!!!!!! Oh! and onsies for 50-99¢.. Yup, this is my fourth and FINAL baby, so I'm def not spending too much on clothes this time...
I bought all the staff on sale but the one that made me happy the most is the mamas and papas Cybex Aton carseat, like new for £55 or so, with adaptor that didn't work with my buggy, so I sold it for a tenner on eBay
We got a Mclaren stroller at a consignment sale for $5... Think it's should've been marked $50! Also, as we were closing out our BBB registry, we noticed when we got home that we weren't charged for our $130 ergo baby carrier! We've spent too much in that store to make me feel bad!!
I went into Target yesterday with my completion coupon. Their system wasn't taking it- after she tried for about 15 minutes- she just gave me 30% off everything (it was about $280 worth of stuff for $180). They must've felt guilty for making a super preggo woman stand around.
