MORNING SICKNESS..pease help asap

So basically I have morning sickness most days all day and sometimes (rarely) have good days with none at all. My ob prescribed me zofran and it worked amazing but my insurance only covered X amount per month. Ive heard of zantac working.... ive tried B6 ... all types of foods or mints and drinks with ginger... do those sea bands work? And what over the counter solutions are there until next month....... please! Have been missing out on important daily appts and cant seem to find any relief!!! Thank you!!!

I had similar problems in my first pregnancy. Keep trying the B6 and I found that some of my puking was actually from gastric reflux or too much acid. Sometimes an antacid like tums helped. Ginger never helped me. Talk to your doctor or their nurse helpline and ask what you can do. They probably get questions like this constantly.

I had the same problem In my first pregnancy. We had the doctor contact the insurance company so I could have more zofran. Was a bit of a pain but it worked.

Diclegis (unisom + b6) has worked wonders for me...better than zofran.

Yes, try the unisom and B6 combo. Also, ask your doctor for a promethazine prescription if that doesn't work. It was the only thing that worked for me. And its really cheap. $6 for 20 pills. But it will make you extremely exhausted.

Ask your pharmacist about using a discount card to purchase the remaining zofran tablets without using your insurance. As long as you're taking generic, a standard discount card, usually offered by many pharmacies will make the price very reasonable.

Protein saved me! Try eating small amounts of protein all day long. It gives all the extra bile, that our bodies are producing to break down the expended hcg hormones, something to digest and helps keep the nausea at bay. At least, this is what has worked for me. Hope it helps you!

Always have a bottle of water with lemon slices on you. It calms the belly a lot!!!

Zofran didn't work for me. I'm on reglan and Zantac now and I'm nearly functional again.

I'm on dicelglis (sp?) I just take one in the pm and it works well enough, but it makes me sleepy. 2 was too much I couldn't keep my eyes open at work! They gave me crap tons of free samples so I haven't had to buy any yet.

I was taking diclegis 2 at night, 1 am and 1 mid day, as well as 2 promethazine a day. I'm out of diclegis at 11 weeks and trying to suffer through with just the 2 promethazine but I've been so sick. Hoping only a few more weeks of this. I took zofran for about. Week and didn't notice much of a difference. I feel ya girl. Vomiting all day, everyday. It's a little worse now that I felt better, then ran out of the regimen I was on. I haven't done a single thing but be sick. Here to hoping we feel better soon
