Seriously I need a nap. I am so tired. I closed my office door at lunch. Ate my salad and fell asleep sitting up! Luckily, my door was shut and my blinds were shut so no one could see me and I woke up. I think I was only out for 10-20 minutes but geez.. clearly I need more sleep!!
i have been struggling with some fatigue this last trimester as well. Drives me crazy because I am not one to nap. Being so tired it hurts to have my eyes open is an awful feeling. When I nap I am mad at the time I wasted sleeping when I could have been productive.
lol I kind of jerked and I was like OMG I was totally just sleeping! I am so tired. I just cannot sleep at night! I fall asleep very easy but I wake up around 11..midnight.. and I'm literally up for hours.. usually about 2:30..3am.. I fall back asleep and my alarm goes off at 5:45.. I hit snooze until 6 and then I'm up.
I find it really hard to nap despite being so very tired I just want sleep bad. And when I am trying to actually sleep it takes me forever to for real fall asleep. At least an hour, usually two. Despite being so wiped my eyes feel like they have sand in them.
Jealous a little bit of your brief nap. Next time, just actually take one. It IS your lunch break, after all. It's your time, do what you want with it
Oooh, I'm sure many of us totally identify with this. I've nearly done it a couple of times -- even considered curling up under my desk, but left work to collapse at home instead. I work in a windowless office and really think that has to do with my energy levels (and probably vitamin D deprivation).
marijaa333 Me too. I have a window to the hallway but not to the outside. There's like a wall of offices and in front of them are all cubes. I'm in an office and there's a wall of windows behind the cubes but the people in the cubes usually keep the blinds shut because the sun is so bright coming in. But it makes it so blah in here. Sometimes I don't get out at all at lunch which makes it worse.
I just chuckled at myself because our lights are motion activated in the offices and if nothing is moving..they shut off. So the lights in my office shut off and I nearly fell out of my chair. lol But I was very tempted to run out to my car and recline the seat and lay down or curl up on the floor in my office and cover up with my coat. lol I'm SO tired!
Happened to me a couple months ago! Was supervising some people taking a test on the computer, so the room was really quiet. thankfully no one turned around to notice.

I totally did this a few weeks ago. My office is open and there are multiple desks in the room, all of which have people working in them. You can see everyone. After lunch, I just dozed off, also sitting up. I have no idea how long I was out or if anyone saw me! It was mortifying!
jessyluscious77 lol oh noo!! I at least had my office door shut. I almost did it again yesterday around 2-3pm. My door was open and I had to get up and walk around. I just can't sleep at night so by afternoon time.. I'm spent!
Re: And.. I just fell asleep at my desk at lunchtime!
I have totally closed the door and taken a nap while pregnant. I'm a therapist - I have a couch. It's awesome and sometimes necessary.
