Late Morning Sickness?

I started out Monday feeling really crappy and thought it was just something I ate. Here I am on day 3 and I'm still dealing with nausea. Even swallowing my spit makes me feel like I might puke. I've never experienced morning sickness before, so this seems odd to be starting so late.

Has anyone heard of morning sickness starting at 17 weeks? Should I bother calling my doctor or does this seem normal?

Re: Late Morning Sickness?

  • I am just now starting morning sickness at 15 weeks. I'm not sure if that's normal or what. First trimester I mostly felt tired and sometimes a bit sick, but I was okay. Now I feel like I can't smell anything or eat anything and get sick first thing in the morning. I know some women are sick through the entire pregnancy, so I don't think it's dangerous. I plan to ask my doctor at the next appointment.

  • Thank you for your response. I see my doctor next Tuesday, so I guess I'll just wait until then.

  • Mine stared late also I was about 14w when mine got pretty bad. Almost 16w and doing much better. Hope you get some relief soon.
  • yuck! sorry ladies.  Morning sickness sucks! it may just be something you ate if you've never had it before.

:-& I've had it since 8 weeks.  got slightly better and then around week 12- 13 got worse than ever.  Now I'm back to it being tolerable.  I have been taking Diclegis.   so I'll have some really good days when I think I'm done and then bam it comes back.  Crossing my fingers these are our last few rounds of nausea.
