My heartburn the past three-four days has been torturous, causing nausea, near-vomiting, sharp pains, and loss of sleep. Medicine helps only for an hour, and I don't want to take it more than once a day.
Last night I slept upright, propped up on pillows - mostly solved the nausea and heartburn problem, but not the most restful sleep.
I just tried to pretend I was 18th century royalty :-)
Holy discharge batman. I've had a shit ton of discharge this entire pregnancy but these past few days I've literally been a discharge machine. It's gross. 6+ more weeks of this should be perfect.

Sorry for the poor man's siggy...ticker won't load regardless of how many tips I read.
Last week my doctor told us that we were measuring 5 weeks ahead (38 weeks when we've been under the assumption that we were only 33) and are much closer to holding our sweet angel than we initially thought. She's sitting breech and they're talking about scheduling a csection within this coming week. We have a follow up appointment today to figure out what's next but my first time momma heart is on overdrive. I have so many feelings happening that I can't kick the nausea, vomiting, or stress tension in my neck.
I hate to be a downer but TERRIBLE. I've had the worst cramps all night I thought the perks of being pregnant you wouldn't have to deal with feeling like you had your period. I have a huge presentation in my nursing research class this morning and I haven't slept a bit. I feel like my uterus is about to rip off and I'm going crazyyyyyy!!!
@amark11 I'm sorry you've been feeling so crappy! I'm happy you were able to find some relief with the pillows!
@chaglund good luck today, sending good vibes your way!
Already exhausted and it's only 6:15am. Thank you 5am bloodwork - I can never fall back asleep after being stuck with a needle. Can't wait until my post-BPP, post-NST nap, as long as stupid ppl like "hospital equipment services" (they scan my SCD machine 2x a day so the hospital knows to charge for it - insert eye roll) don't wake me up mid nap that is....
Ok cranky rant over. Hoping everyone else's symptoms let up and we all get some quality sleep today or tonight!
I think the baby is dropping low - weird pelvic pain and I don't like walking anymore.
I've found the secret to insomnia: I didn't sleep two nights ago but it made me soooo tired I actually slept last night! Even the back pain couldn't override it. So the secret is to only sleep every other day. This seems sustainable (::eye roll::). We don't have a recliner. I considered sleeping in the car!
I'm also just vaguely nauseous and gassy all the time, just trying to eat regularly and work through it.
@casey06022015 good luck with your presentation today! Hopefully standing and moving around a little bit will help with the discomfort
I don't want to be too optimistic, but either we have found the best combination of medications and remedies for this yuckness so far, or I am finally turning the corner with this thing. I'm desperate. Anyways, I did wake up a few times overnight, and my throat did hurt some - but not enough to prevent me from going back to sleep after drinking some water. I slept! Hooray!
I think my long torso has saved me some of the pain everyone has been describing...until now! Holy hell now that he's big enough to be cramped it always hurts! My belly my hips my ribs! Also I realize my blurry vision and faintness might have been due to the upright straight backed position I was sitting in because it happens every time I am at a table doing bills and paper work for a period of time. I guess it's a nice excuse to stay vertical! @knwilliams01 you win for having the experience I would least like to have at this point! Congratulations...you can collect your prize in June! <:-P
@mellymar glad you feel better! Sleep rules!!! @ my other gals does this ish ever go away? Will I have heartburn while I push this guy out of me??
Good morning ladies! I am now feeling the effects of pregnancy! I thought I may cruise through this one but I was wrong! I am now officially an insomniac and waking up to eat at 2 am in the morning. On top of that I have been having horrible night sweats! I wake up drenched. I can't be the only one right?
I'm completely exhausted. I was up and down all night and don't feel like I slept a wink. I had contractions every 10 minutes or so for 3 hours. They weren't strong enough or long enough to head to l & d, but definitely more uncomfortable than BH. My back and hips are still hurting, but that's not a new symptom.
@MrsWiggleWaggle We are delivering May 7th thank goodness. I'm so thankful I've kept baby cooking this long and she won't be born until 36w1d. However, I would lose my mind if I had another month plus of this hospital room. Especially since they decided to drill large urn planters into the outside wall right next to my window - no nap for me today. I literally called DH in tears because I am so tired and sick of not being able to control my environment.
Had an awful time trying to sleep last night between acid reflux and nausea that came out of nowhere. I literally tossed and turned all night and don't feel much better this morning. I keep having DH check if I feel warm because I still don't know the symptoms of the illness I was exposed to at work and I'm afraid of getting sick and being stuck in the hospital or loosing my ability eat, further complicating my IUGR...Ugh...At least this is my last week here.
My ribs are literally on fire... I'm beginning to wonder if one of them is cracked. WOOF!
Other than that, this girl is definitely stretching out. It's so crazy how different the movements have become. While some of them are annoying and uncomfortable, others are downright making me laugh like a psychopath. If i have my hand on my stomach and i get one of the BIG flippy movements, I crack up. I try not to touch my belly in public for fear i will look like a complete lunatic.
Holy pelvic pressure, almost like a stinging feeling in the pit of my stomach/pelvic area. I also feel like I live in the bathroom. I've been trying to drink lots today as they said hydration should help with the irritable uterus. I usually drink 60 to 80 oz a day minimum, but today I've already had nearly 80 this morning alone.
I can't believe you can have contractions and still go 40 weeks! What kind of madness is that! I just had a contraction and broke out in a sweat. I'm starting to worry I'm not ready for the pain! My doctor said yesterday it not abnormal and that as long as they're not 5 minutes apart then I'm good.
I'm trying not to be crazy about it but I haven't felt baby move this morning and he's always crazy when I wake up. Ate some sugar..... Now just waiting. All these thoughts are running through my head!!! And whoever said to only sleep every other day. That is correct! That's how I do it! Ha....
I have heartburn like crazy and super terrible itchiness on my lower belly! The heartburn is manageable. I take 1 Pepcid a day when I feel it coming on and it pretty much goes away. Nothing is working well enough on the itchy belly. I use a mix of palmers stretch mark massage cream and vitamin e oil every morning and night, but it's still itchy.
I also wasn't able to sleep last night because I had such a hard time breathing

Keep us posted, and thinking of you - though sure everything is fine.
Oh, my aching ladies!! I'm sorry we are in the rough part now, but just a bit longer. We can do this!!!
I've had a sinus infection the past couple of days. My hubby is out working so it's just my 5 yo, lo and me but I'm so greatful I have a independent child who asks if she could put lotion on my feet and on baby brother. My hips are killing me and I'm tired of being stared at when I wobble around the grocery store. I get it I look like a penguin lol let me wobble in piece! Hope everyone starts feeling better soon we're almost to the end!

That's the worst feeling! Hope he gets to moving soon! I feel like my LO has slowed down in the movement department and he freaks me out on a regular basis. The movements feel different, too. I know we're EDD twins so hopefully this is normal since we're both experiencing it. I wonder how much they're sleeping at this point?
I had something similar happen. She was making big flippy movements in the car the other day while I was stopped at a red light. I was just staring at my stomach because you could see her actually moving my belly. It was fascinating!! However, because I was staring at my belly, I didn't realize the light turned green and ended up getting honked at. That made me laugh like a crazy person haha.
Keep us updated, @klkonwi. Hopefully it's just a less active day for your LO.
Pelvic pain/pressure isn't as prevalent today, so hopefully my body is getting used to her new dropped position! The pain is still there somewhat, but no where near as strong as it was before. Thank god. Still exhausted as a mofo though.
Unrelated issue: I'm having a really bad hair day! My hair feels greasy and weighed down, like I didn't rinse all the conditioner out of it this morning, or there's too much product in it. Boo. Putting it up in a bun for the rest of the day. I hate bad hair days!
@klkonwi I hope everything is ok. It's hard not to panic this late in pregnancy. I find myself panicking about everyones symptoms. Like I wanna go to L&D with you guys.
I'm finding it hard to sit. Like little man's head is right above my cervix and it's hurts to cramp him. His movements are so much different Lately. Like pressure and rolling. It's not painful jabs but like a stretching pain. Does that make sense?
Also I don't know why My phone puts capital letters in randomly??
Feeling pretty good today! I've noticed that days when I'm more active are days when I feel better - today I have my internship, so it's fitting in with that pattern. I'm not sure if I actually feel that well, or if it's just that I'm so busy running around that I don't realize how sore/tired I am. Either way, maybe this is a sign that I should be doing more during the day on my days off!
@klkonwi have you tried drinking some ice cold beverages? That always gets my LO bouncing around.
As for symptoms I'm feeling pretty good. LO is pretty small (estimated in the 12th percentile) so I feel like I may get away with an easy last month. Well easier when it comes to being comfortable...
Have no appetite though, I feel like I could go all day with not eating. I make myself eat and it gives me an upset stomach. Thankful for some new medication my doc gave me because I can at least keep the food down.
I feel like LO have made my ribs her personal kickbox/punching bag. And have been having some pinching down below. If I sit at home I feel super tired like I could sleep all day, but if I get out of the house I tend to have more energy. Just wish the rain would go away so I could sit outside.
@klkonwi thinking of you! Keep us posted! My baby has super lazy days and I know how stressful it is, especially to us anxious gals.
I am still feeling generally overwhelmed but we had a class Monday and I learned so much, I instantly felt my anxiety fading a bit. Another one tonight, so I'm excited! I hope all this "education" will help me relax tomorrow at my appointment and I'll have a low BP read! If not, 3 more weeks of baking for baby!
Yep. I'm officially the person/patient that I've made fun of in the past for worrying so much about fetal movement. I want to go in...... But I probably should just wait......
@klkonwi go in! Better now to your doctors office than having to call after hours and feel like you're making them "busy" by going to L&B. It's been hours since you posted about this, PLEASE CALL!!!! I jostle baby when I haven't felt it in awhile just to get some activity. I'm sure you've tried it.

You can also try the flashlight method! Dim the lights close the curtains and shine a light (I used my phone) on your belly. It was wild when I did it because my baby immediately moved away from the light. It relaxes me to know he was still in there

How are all my fellow GH/PIH ladies doing?
Found the greatest underwear at Target for chub rub! It's by Jockey and they are bike shorts but super thin! Perfect for skirts and summer!
