Final name, girl.

DH and I have completely opposite naming styles and have been searching for an agreeable name. With 4 weeks to go we've finally agreed on Kalina Clare.

I wanted to honor my grandmother but didn't love any version of Ann. So I wanted a name with Polish roots as she really celebrated her Polish history. Clare is after Dhs gram (spelled this way as she was named for County Clare where his great grandmother grew up.)

Is Kalina too out there? Are the double hard c sounds a deterrent? Sisters are Ainsley and Selene.

Kalina is a fine polish name. My oldest son has one in his kindergarten class.

Kalina and Selene are pretty close, but it isn't too out there if you have Polish roots.

I was going to say the same thing. Kalina and Selene are very close. I like it but too close for my taste.

Kalina is not my style, but I think it's also way too close to Selene and that's a little confusing

We struggled with that so much, all the names I loved rhyme with/sound like Selene. Serena, Evangeline, etc. I think if that's the only negative that we can deal, otherwise this Baby might not have a name. I'm going to keep looking but at least we can potentially leave the hospital with her at some point
