super nervous..telling 7yr old today!!!!! update!!!!!!!!

So I have my 14w ultrasound and I felt it was safe enough to tell my boy he's missing school and I'm taking him with me just me and him ! My question is do I tell him b4 the u/s or do I wait to just let him see the u/s and then explain omg I've never been so nervous in my life , after were done I want to take him to eat so he and I can have some 1 on 1ntime and after work dh will join us !....advise and wish me luck !!!!

I would tell him ahead of time. If you don't know what you are looking at the ultrasound just looks like some fuzzy black and white picture. Good luck! Our 6 year old is so excited to be a big brother again and really understands a lot of what is going on now. It is so much fun!

If you think he'll be thrilled you can wait until during the ultrasound. Otherwise, if he might be anxious or upset then tell him before going in and then he'll have a chance for it to sink in a bit and then enjoy the ultrasound. The rest of the day and spending one on one time with him sounds great! Enjoy your day!

That's sweet. My oldest was nearly six and we really included her and i think it helped her adjust to not being the only child.

I agree, tell him before.

I say tell him before so he can be kinda prepared and has an idea of what he's looking at. Enjoy! I bet he's going to be super excited.

Thank you ladies this is smtn I have kinda dreamed about since he was born ! I didn't know how soon it would happen and after a while I didn't think I would have any more but now I am and I couldn't be happier looking forward to our special day! He wakes up and says mom y am I not going school? I said, because ur having a special day with mama ! His eyes beamed with joy it made me cry! I hear him walking away and going yes! He's so good ! I'll post pictures when we come home!!

On a side note also nervous because I'm having my sch checked out and my 1hr glucose ,but neither one of those things are making me as nervous lolz!!!

Us puckering before ds found out and us w our shock face after he found out!!!! Ladies I have never been so proud of my child!!! Lolzz he was soo happy he started blushing and almost cried I saw him holding tears back, so we walked into the doctors and I tell him he is going to meet someone and he asks what letter does it start with? I said B ...he says Bruno Mars?!? I said noooo he says Bruce Banner The hulk I said nooooo lolzz so they call us in to the u/s and I said babe this is who I want you to meet His face was stunned he says MOM Its a baby w a B mom your having a baby?!?!? I said yes your going to be a big brother that's when I saw watery eyes I said baby what do you think he says mom I'm going to be the best older brother! !!! So his face is just priceless he's looking at the u/s screen and it actually looks like the baby is waving so he says mom the baby knows its me its waving at me !!! Again his eyes beam !!!! .........our afternoon was amazing we had lunch and he kept talking about how good he was going to be with the baby and how he would teach the baby everything he knows and how he hopes its a boy so they can wrestle and play and be best friends!!!!!!!!

The baby looks great my sch is totally dissolved ....I still haven't gained any weight and my tummy is huge! Idk doc said everything is good tho! I get my test results for the 1hr glucose on Thursday so fingers crossed!
