Bedrest with twins?

I'm only 14 weeks with Di/Di twins & have been feeling super crampy & have had pretty bad back aches for about a week. I called my OB yesterday & he had me call off work today until he can see me at 2pm. Did anyone else experience these types of aches & pains? Did you get put on bedrest at any point?
I should add that I'm an RN, working on my feet for 12 hr shifts. I'm not sure if the nature of my work is why he had me stay home today or what. After I worked two shifts in a row last week, I literally felt like I couldn't take one more step (not to be a drama queen). Any thoughts?

DH (41)-no MFI
07/2014-Femara 5mg + trigger + IUI= chem preg ;(
08/2014-Femara 5mg + trigger + IUI + 2nd trigger= BFN
09/2014-Clomid 100mg + trigger + IUI + 2nd trigger= BFN
10/2014-benched due to RE out of town, tying naturally!
11/2014-benched due to cyst
12/2014-Femara 5mg + stair step with additional 5 days Femara 5mg + trigger + IUI=BFN
01/2015-Femara 5mg + Gonal F 25 units + trigger (plus additional Gonal F 100 units on trigger night) + IUI= BFP!!! Twins due 10/2015
09/28/2015- Surprise!  Conrad and Hudson born at 35w6d!

    I stopped working at 30 weeks with my twins due to exhaustion and pain. I don't remember having cramps and back pain that early though!

    I had really bad back pain and felt crampy in the beginning. And then again sometime into my second trimester. I told my midwife but she didn't seemed concerned because I wasn't having any bleeding or any other symptoms. I'm a hair stylist and a FTM so I just decided it was a combination of being on my feet a lot and the stretching of muscles and ligaments. I am 34 weeks and still working. I did cut back my hours and will be done next week though. It's good that your going to see your doctor because everyone is different. Hope you get some relief soon!

    I had some lower back pain but no cramping. I have a desk job so the fatigue of being on my feet wasn't an issue. Good luck

    Thanks for all the input! I saw the doc today & he seems to think it's just normal stretching as I have a low/anteverted uterus. My cervix is long & closed, which is good. Also, both babies HRs were nice & strong! I have no restrictions as of now but was told to just listen to my body & take as many breaks as possible.

    I actually wanted bedrest but Ob told me unless I had contractions - he saw no need to take me out of work. I stopped working at 34 weeks on my own because driving was uncomfortable. I had upper and mid back pain all 3rd trimester, no cramping.
    Me: 32, DH: 34.
    Trying since Jan 2011. Unexplained IF.
    2 IUIs = BFN.
    1 IVF (Dec 2013) = BFN.
    FET, 2 frosties (June 13, 2014)

    14dp5dt-June 27 -BFP, beta 2061. 2nd beta >5000, 3rd beta >5000, 2 sacs 06/30.
    Twin Girls - 02/11/15 - at 37 weeks (no NICU, home with me at 3 days).

    @vpine I just outright asked my doctor to take me off work at 30 weeks and luckly she agreed. I don't think doctors think about taking you out of work unless you mention it. I told her that I wasn't able to stand/walk all day as an elementary teacher and she said that she agreed and I should just stop at 30 weeks.
