Diaper Advice!

I am a FTM and want to start stocking up on diapers and wipes while I have the extra money. But I'm clueless on what sizes to start off with and how many boxes of each I should get... Help!

    There are some great articles on Pinterest! They divided it down to cost per diaper and size. I would recommend looking up different articles.

    Id say focus on size 1 more then newborn. Neither of my kids actually wore newborn and went straight to size 1. Also be careful and don't buy too many of the same brand. Some babies can't wear certain brands and will get rashes from them and you wouldn't want a whole stack of diapers u can't use. Also some brands you many like better then others. You just have to kinda play and see what works best for your baby!

    I was given a lot of diapers at my baby shower for DS, after I used those (took 4 months) DS seemed to go up a size every 2 boxes (Sam's club box) of diapers. I honestly do not remember what amount of what sizes, but I was able to try out different brands. Its a little hard to stock ppile not knowing how baby will react.

    DS blew out of Huggies, soaked through other store brands and got rashes from luvs but did well with pampers. In my previous bmb, a lot of babies had issues with pampers but did well with Huggies or luvs. I would get small packages of size 1 in different brands to see what would work best for LO.

    Oh! Babies r us has a VIP card you out money on for diapers or formula only. That may be something to look into so you have the money there when you need it and don't spend it on anything else.

    If you have unopened packages of a size your baby grows out of you can exchange it for a different size. So if you buy too many of one size just exchange them for a different size.

    My thought is.... I wouldn't stock up on them because you never know if your baby will have a reaction to them. What I have been doing is when I have the extra cash I put it on a gift card that I can use when it comes time to get diapers and wipes.
