3 questions about symptoms and health

I am 31 weeks. My first question is, is it normal to have a throbbing labia? Is this just the baby messing with my blood circulation again? It intensifies when I strain myself such as bending over or rolling over during the night.

My second question is, how much walking is safe at this point? I have a physically active job but I will be leaving my work soon and need to get the exercise that I will be losing. So is it ok to walk 30 mins a day? 1 hr? 2 hrs?

My third question is, I bought some Raspberry leaf tea but when I was reading the box it said to take it 2-3 times per day! If I do that I am gonna go through it quickly. If I only take it once every few days instead will it still be effective, or do I need to go back and buy more? I had to buy it in a nearby city because I live in a small town that doesn't have much.

Thanks for any help. :)

    Labia pain is not uncommon.

The general rule of exercise is 80% of what you were doing pre-pregnancy but heed your body on taking it easier if needed. Walking and swimming are the perfect exercises for pregnancy, so do what feels good!

My MW would like me to drink 1 quart of RRL tea every day in the third trimester. I make it bulk with loose-leaf ingredients. (Look up NORA tea.) That said, that is more than most people probably utilize it. I take a very herbal/holistic approach to my health in all areas, so this is not an undue amount for my body, as I've been drinking it since early pregnancy. You might find that many cups per day to start with not reasonable, and that is fine.

  • Walking is great!! I go for really long hikes every weekend and do at least three 30 minute walks each weekday. Just listen to your body. I personally feel much better after the walks. Just make sure you have good alignment while exercising.
  • Thanks for the great answers guys!
