noticed we havent had any of these more positive threads in the last like 6 days, figured i'd start one so nobody thinks we're all just mean and grumpy.
im thankful for my loving (and often stupid) husband, even though he wakes me up too early he is a total sweetheart, brought me a snapple from the store, and surprise flowers just because!
im also excited and thankful for the opportunity to grow my own food, we started some veggies a couple weeks ago and all except 1 seem to be sprouting, we also just bought a strawberry plant and 2 blueberry bushes! im like giddy over this. i really like blueberries.
I'm thankful for my 2 amazing children, they are growing so fast I am thankful this new baby is growing and healthy And I am also thankful for my hubby's hard work on our garden! Fresh veggies have been great!
I am thankful to be celebrating my 6th wedding anniversary on Saturday! I have a hair appointment tomorrow and a pedicure and massage scheduled for Saturday, followed by a lovely dinner with DH to celebrate!
Thankful for a hard working husband who has spent extra hours fixing all the little projects around the house. Also that I have a house guest who is being so extra helpful right now. Did all the yard work and spring cleanup projects I used to do: mowed the lawn, cleaned the gutters, raked and disposed of leaves and debris, cleaned off the deck and vacuumed the house! It's like I have two ultra productive husbands! Blessed.
I'm thankful for my cat, who is super cuddly right now after I was away at work tonight.
I'm thankful that I can work from home and sleep in when I'm super tired after a party. (Cue the "not for long!" comments...)
I'm thankful for DH, who is kind and protective and is making sure I take care of myself and our baby.
I'm thankful for our family. Although they're overexcited and much sometimes, they're so loving, and this baby is really blessed.
I'm thankful for 24-hr McDonalds and the cute lady who gave me a double cheeseburger with 3 pieces of cheese. Nom nom nom.
Thankful for you girls, who make me feel validated and sane, when pregnancy is the most bizarre experience I've ever been through. You girls are fabulous, kind, and real!
Thankful that my spring semester from hell is now OVER and I have a few weeks off before my summer semester starts. Also thankful that I'm going home this weekend for the shower that my mom's throwing, and that I'll get to spend time with everyone who I've been missing. I'm thankful that after the shower I'm going to have a girls night with my mom and sisters and we're going to watch Anne of Green Gables. And last but not least, I'm thankful for my wonderful husband and baby!
Thankful for my wonderful DH today - he is singlehandedly packing our entire house, closing on our new house (with POA signed by me), and moving us with me still in the hospital. All while still working and visiting me - he's pretty darn phenomenal.
Also thankful that my amniotic fluid was up to 6.24 today - highest it's been since I was admitted to the hospital!
Today I am thankful for the flexibility of my position. I am taking on water and the swelling gets significantly worse at work - so I am going to work from home for three days next week with my feet up and in my pajamas. I love being able to work remotly when needed.
Thankful for, happy about, AND excited to meet this little guy I've been growing! I'm also, of course, thankful for his daddy and constantly in awe of the amazing person his big sister is growing up into
Plus (!) my little brother will be driving down a couple days before my due date, I just learned, and my mom has the whole month of July off and wants to come visit! Since we live quite a ways away from each other and visits are few and far between this has got me seriously giddy I can't believe just how blessed we've been this year!
So thankful for my awesome husband who puts up with me. Thankful that he brought me a blizzard from DQ today unexpectedly. thankful I have a home and all the basics & then some for this baby !

OMG I might have to talk my husband into a Blizzard for our roadtrip back home...
So happy and thankful to my bestie for putting on a Peter Rabbit themed shower for me today!
Our future nursery will have some Peter Rabbit elements, so I was so excited and touched by this little get together. It was awesome. I cried when I started taking everything in.
Thankful for some great 3rd graders that I have seen grow up the last 3 years. One boy was genuinely upset that he didn't get invited to my baby shower, too cute! Kind of makes me hope for a little boy (we are team green).
Today my nephew made my day, he's 18 months. My sister said Brendan where is aunties baby? And he came running over and put his hand on my belly! He's such a smart little guy already, and I just thought it was the most adorable thing!
@karaelaine1991 yay for being done for the semester!! That's awesome, lady!
We had a lovely visit with my FIL and step-MIL last week/end. They came to visit us "overseas" and she is legally blind, and they both have health concerns - so this was a BIG deal for them. They had the best attitude, spoiled us rotten, and are already excited for their next visit.
Next week, DH and I are checking out the new city that work is relocating us to next year. I get to take a week off work, sleep in, and explore neighborhoods, amid just a few meetings here and there. It will put our minds at ease about yet another move, and will be our last "big" trip before baby.
This coming weekend, I get to meet my best friend from college's baby boy! He will turn 1 right around when my LO is due, and I can't wait to kiss his cheeks and stay up late, chatting with my girl.
DH has been loving all over my belly lately. He is getting really excited, and being overwhelmingly sweet. Trying to soak up this magical time as much as possible!

Thank you! I'm glad you had a great weekend with your in-laws!
We had our labor and birthing class yesterday. Very eye-Opening for both me and DH. He was so sweet afterwards. He took me out of the way home to go to a new noodle restaurant I kept mentioning. Then to the ice cream shop right across from it. (I protested, but he convinced me the dairy would help my heartburn. I'm all in!)
I also got the noodles as "medium" spicyness and I could not feel my lips after a few bites. Baby got all riled up. I know where I'm heading if I go too far beyond my due date!
We also successfully got a new car on Saturday. I did not want to spend the money but I feel so relieved we got this done with 6 weeks to go!
Thankful for a super sweet boss. When I got to work this morning she had put a basket full of soaps and body washes and other spa like goodies on my desk along with her sound machine turned to beach sounds. There were also some LED candles (I had to fight back a giggle). She said she just wants to help me stay relaxed and as unstressed as possible.
I am super thankful for my son and fiancee this past four months have been tough... Had to put family dog down, lay off, several family pets have passed ive had trouble at work, and now our cat has run off. But my fiancee has found a better job than what he had, and has been extremley patient with me. He bought me silly socks (with explicitives so i cant share here) to help cheer me up, and my incredibly patient son (6) has given up his free time to help around the house and help search for our cat!
So thankful for a beautiful sprinkle that was thrown for me yesterday. It was the perfect mix of amazing food and desserts, fun beverages (strawberry moonshine...which I didn't partake in ), great friends and gifts for LO. Feel so loved.

Ooo, moonshine. I didn't realize I missed Apple Jack til just now. Thanks a lot! :-) JK, glad you had an awesome sprinkle. Days like that fill up my soul.
Thankful every day for an amazing and supportive DH. But today also feeling thankful for the midwives at the practice that I'm going to. They are all so sweet and patient and different than the OB's I've been to in the past.
Me-37, DH-38
Married in 2006, TTC #1 since Jan 2012
Baby Boy born June 1, 2015
He settles her in her home as a happy mother of children, praise the Lord! (Psalms 113:9)
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understand, will guard your heart and mind in Jesus Christ (Philippians 4:7)
I'm so thankful for DH. In the middle of the night I woke him up because I wasn't feeling right so he drew me a bath and stayed up with me to see if that helped. So lucky I married such a great guy!
Yesterday on the train ride home I asked a woman if she would mind if I took an aisle seat as I was feeling lousy and wanted some air. I've never done that before because I feel like a jerk. She was gracious, said no problem, and then mentioned how small I was and that I don't take up much room! Made my evening. We chatted a bit and she was excited to hear the baby will likely be a Gemini like her. Thanks train lady!
I have a favorite little clothing designer who only has shops in two countries in Europe. (Not so high-end - like a funky version of the same high quality as Eileen Fischer, but with Banana Republic prices.) DH came back from a weekend trip yesterday, and texted ahead that he had a gift for me. He went into one of her shops and brought me the loveliest scarf!! He was so excited, and it completely fixed my crap day!
(I wanted to name a girl after this designer because half my wardrobe is from her, but DH vetoed it. The scarf almost makes up for it.)
Feeling all the nesting urges today and because I am on my break from school I actually have time to indulge in them! So far, I've made a little more progress on the nursery, cleaned my parts of the bedroom, cleaned the bathroom, did the dishes, dusted the wood surfaces (don't even remember the last time I did that!), and cleaned all the windows and mirrors. And it's not even 12:30 yet! I feel so productive!
