My hair dryer is the most frustrating appliance I own. I use it 4-5 times a week and they continually break down on me. I bought one that lasted two days past the return limit. So I spent $50 on one and it barely lasted a year; I discovered Friday that it now only blows cold. Ugh.
What are some good brands of hair dryers? Is it worth me spending more money for something that lasts? Anything to stay away from?

I think I got it because it was recommended by Kate from the Small Things blog and I figured that a hair stylist would know her stuff. Ulta has them on sale occasionally.
