Sweet Little Gestures

Anyone else just amazed at the amount of sweet gestures from strangers? Doors being held open, extra discounts at kohls registers, even two little boys who had a conversation about how they should let me go first in line at the gas station, :) so sweet. Then (with only good intentions) DH buys me a surprise- a mirror so I can better groom and not be self conscious at my appointment tomorrow. Gotta love the little things in life, right?

  • I didn't think etiquette was a thing anymore but I'm enjoying all the small gestures from strangers like letting me go first, giving up their seats etc. DH is being sooooooooo lovely lately :x not that he isn't usually but it's so nice
  • My HS students (who don't have much, I teach in the Bronx) threw me a shower and bought gifts for my baby girl. So touched.

    Mine too. Blew me away.

  • I feel like a celebrity at our grocery store. I go in once a week to shop and everyone from the bakery to the deli to the baggers to the check-out people have watched this belly grow and all squeal when they see me. "Not much longer!!" "You're getting so big!!" I really have loved all the positive attention throughout this pregnancy. It seems a good number of people love pregnant ladies. :x
  • I am a social worker who works with low income individuals. I had one client who actually had a son a few months ago and brought all his clothes that he had grown out of (big baby) for my little man upon hearing that I was having a boy too. So touched. Most of the clothes still had the tags on it because his baby grew out of 0-3 onesies within a week after he was born.
  • This is something i will def miss. Makes you feel so special!
  • I was given an extra slushie at Dairy Queen and an extra sandwich at a deli- I didn't know whether to be grateful or offended (I was grateful).
