PSA

most of us aren't medical professionals. If you have questions about water breaking/contractions/labor/pains it's probably best to call your doc or MW. Or to write on one of the many posts already about that same issue.

Just a thought :D

  • That would be great, 1 separate thread for each and then people can just respond. I want to see what other people are writing! Not 10 separate posts about "IS THIS MY MUCUS PLUG" X_X
  • I get your point but i understand their concerns, sometimes you want to hear someone sharing their experience to make you feel better i guess but yeah the name posts are getting out of hands lol

Yeah I definitely get it too! And when my little girl starts making some moves, I'm sure I'll want to share and get insight, I'm just saying ... Can we have dedicated threads just for that so there's not so many new posts about it daily... And also, when in doubt, call your doc/MW bc most of us really can't do anything to help other than be supportive

I don't mind reading those posts. I like it when they update us on what their doctor said.

Also, sometimes calling your doctor is hard to do and having people encourage you to do it is what you need to hear.
  • Repetitive posts don't usually bother me. I don't mind the baby name, hospital bag and other questions. The 'am I in labor' questions are getting old quick. I assume it's bc I'm still a ways away. Having only had a cs, I can't help so I just skip them. Unfortunately, there isn't much else right now. I'll admit I never heard of a mucus plug or stripped membranes before, even though this is my 2nd. I guess they don't talk about that in the cs chapters.

  • I agree with the dedicated posts idea, someone tried that with the names but people still post individual posts lol
  • I have to say sometimes reading aboutother people's different issues helps me come up with questions for my doc I would t event think to ask. Im all for organizing as long as people don't flip out when posters don't use the right thread which WILL happen.
  • ^^^^YES! @cpage2211 I noticed this too. I was thinking "Holy sugarballs! They must think their cramps are special." That might have been the tired mommy in me but I have cramping too. I'm sore, irritable, and just too tired to care if I sound like a bitch right now either. lol Please forgive me everyone.
  • Can you change the name of the post to something more eye catching so more people read it? Pleeeeease? :D
  • In one way I like that people can ask their questions without getting a rude response, but in another way all the repeat threads make it very boring! I want to read interesting threads. Not the same thing over and over! I really enjoy the brag posts, and the bitchfest posts, and other get to know you posts. The "is this my mucus plug" is annoying.

    Haha... Any ideas? How about:

PSA: but I'm not a bitter snatch, really

    Haha kidding.

I'm happy most of you get what I'm saying, I hesitated writing it thinking I would get a lot of "you're so rude" or "if you don't like it, leave" posts...

I can't think of any titles that won't be considered rude haha. I think most of us are feeling the same way and don't want to be rude but it's getting hard when you want to come on here and read up on something new or interesting and it's all the same stuff
  • @trishadobel I can't believe I missed that one! By the time I saw it, it was deleted. Sugar! lol
  • I agree with you guys! It was actually nice to read the post about the lady 6 weeks pregnant having herpes this morning because it wasn't the same old cramps, mucus plug, circumcision, has my water broke post!!!

Haha yes! I agree. It reminded me of the early days and made me glad to be towards the end

What the?? I had no idea there was such a post is it still around?
  • It sounds like it was deleted :(. But check page 2 or 3, it may still be there?
  • Bump.. Just in hope that more people read...... So far looks like no

I feel this way too. I like reading about everyone else having my same worries.

  • If I read one more post about bloody show...ugh
  • More people need to read this..
  • If I read one more post about bloody show...ugh

If my MIL tells me about her bloody show 31 years ago one more time...

It may be worse than the TMI PICS INCLUDED I see on here

Oh my god. I would die!
  • I'm going to play devil's advocate here a bit... I agree they are kind of in abundance right now.. Especially about the timing of contractions, at this stage of the game one probably should have discussed with their doctor as to what he/she prefers for how far apart and for how long means head to the hospital based on their individual circumstances instead of asking on here. However, were all at the home stretch other than this and complaining about how bloody uncomfortable we all are; What are we supposed to talk about ?
  • We could talk about everyone's favorite baby gear. Strollers, carriers, breast pumps, swings, cribs, or whatever.

We could share our experiences or tips on how to handle breastfeeding issues that may come up. Things to avoid eating that might give baby gas, or whatever.

Holy monkey nuts, I would love to know where everyone is buying cute nursing tanks and bras because I have no idea where to get them. Hell, nursing clothes in general that don't make me look like I belong on 19 kids and counting.

Perhaps between the lot of us we could make a Pinterest board on family photo ideas with a newborn. Jesus knows I'm tired of the standard Sears portrait studio poses.

There are many many things that we could start a new thread about. Just saying.

    Love this
  • Anything I worry about, I've brought up with my doctor. But, I'll still post on here if maybe someone else has advice that may work that I hadn't thought of (my cramping situation, looking for relief rather than shared experience lol)

Just wait, next we'll all come in with "why won't my baby sleep?" or "how long do I bleed for?" or "why is my baby crying?!" posts afterwards... I think it's just going to come in that way due to us being at the same stage in the game with being in the same birth month.

Let us all be cranky ;)
  • I may start saying "holy monkey nuts" now... That's amazing.

Anyone have good nursing bra or tank suggestions lol? My chest is like a 40G and I need help!

Will we all be on a board together after we give birth? Like a "may15 babies are here" board? Where's that located? The new bump app?
