most of us aren't medical professionals. If you have questions about water breaking/contractions/labor/pains it's probably best to call your doc or MW. Or to write on one of the many posts already about that same issue.
Love this. I understand being a FTM myself it's so confusing if your going into labor. But we can't help, call a doctor if you spotting or your water broke. It's annoying with the posts. But I understand some people don't know, I get false labor pains every night. My husband always asks "how do you know they are not real contractions?" I just feel you will know when it's time!!
I'm FTM too and constantly on here bc I'm not sure what's what either! I don't mind when people share what's happening to them, but when they ask for help or what's going on, the answers are inevitably always- CALL YOUR DOC- so I'd rather read something new and more interesting
I swear there are 10 new posts everyday with the same questions and the same complaints. Every post is discomfort complaints, "did my water break?", a name question, or a statement on their progress/cervical check results. I just don't understand why we don't just have one for each of those!!!
That would be great, 1 separate thread for each and then people can just respond. I want to see what other people are writing! Not 10 separate posts about "IS THIS MY MUCUS PLUG" X_X
I get your point but i understand their concerns, sometimes you want to hear someone sharing their experience to make you feel better i guess but yeah the name posts are getting out of hands lol
But you get a chance to read other people's experiences even if it's all in one thread... it doesn't have to be 10 different ones. I understand people are anxious and clueless, he'll I'm completely clueless as to what to expect. So I like reading other experiences and what others are going through, but I still don't think we need 10 new posts a day saying basically the same thing!

Yeah I definitely get it too! And when my little girl starts making some moves, I'm sure I'll want to share and get insight, I'm just saying ... Can we have dedicated threads just for that so there's not so many new posts about it daily... And also, when in doubt, call your doc/MW bc most of us really can't do anything to help other than be supportive
Repetitive posts don't usually bother me. I don't mind the baby name, hospital bag and other questions. The 'am I in labor' questions are getting old quick. I assume it's bc I'm still a ways away. Having only had a cs, I can't help so I just skip them. Unfortunately, there isn't much else right now. I'll admit I never heard of a mucus plug or stripped membranes before, even though this is my 2nd. I guess they don't talk about that in the cs chapters.

Sorry I have to disagree with this. Yes it can be annoying to see the same type of posts all the time but in my opinion if you don't like it leave, or just skip those posts. This is like a support group. Sometimes hearing from a mother who has gone thru it is way more comforting than to hear about it from a snotty just out of school nurse who only has her education and no experience.
If I would have listened to what the nurses told me when I went into labor with my daughter I would of ended up having my daughter at home or on the way to the hospital. my contractions NEVER got consistent and did not get painful until the very end.
It's getting close to the end for all of us, emotions and hormones are running high. Running to the ER is not feasible for every little thing. And when you call the OB More than likely they are going to tell you to come in every time.
Thank goodness someone finally said it! It was really starting to get old with all the different threads about mucus plugs, BH, labor vs false labor, should I call the doctor?, when am I going to have this baby?, C section and all the other subjects that come up at least twice a week.
Threads exist for a reason. Just use the handy little search bar at the bottom and type a couple of words in it. You might find what you're looking for. In the unlikely event that you don't find your answer then go ahead and ask your question in a new post.
I'm not trying to be mean but come on already. We don't need 5 different posts on the same topic.
I have to say sometimes reading aboutother people's different issues helps me come up with questions for my doc I would t event think to ask. Im all for organizing as long as people don't flip out when posters don't use the right thread which WILL happen.
There are currently 3, THREE, cramp posts on the main page....why? Cramps are cramps, right? I don't mind repeats, but when someone starts a thread about a topic ALREADY going on, I get peeved. I sound like a bitch, and I just don't even care anymore.
I agree (as always) maybe I have been around too long now that I'm getting irritated by the repetitiveness but I have to say... If I experienced some sort of possible water breakage, pains, probably not the mucus, bleeding I would call midwife or hospital straight away rather then waste time writing it up on here and waiting for replies which would most likely tell me to call the midwife/hospital anyways..
Yes asking women in similar situations may make you feel better but it's obviously better to call trained professionals that can actually help you out.
Let's be honest though this post isn't going to even help it is just going to allow the rest of us to vent whilst people continue to post the same things as each other.
NOTE: DO NOT POST PICS ESPECIALLY NOT OF MUCUS PLUGS
^^^^YES! @cpage2211 I noticed this too. I was thinking "Holy sugarballs! They must think their cramps are special." That might have been the tired mommy in me but I have cramping too. I'm sore, irritable, and just too tired to care if I sound like a bitch right now either. lol Please forgive me everyone.
In one way I like that people can ask their questions without getting a rude response, but in another way all the repeat threads make it very boring! I want to read interesting threads. Not the same thing over and over! I really enjoy the brag posts, and the bitchfest posts, and other get to know you posts. The "is this my mucus plug" is annoying.
Can you change the name of the post to something more eye catching so more people read it? Pleeeeease?
Haha... Any ideas? How about:
PSA: but I'm not a bitter snatch, really
Haha kidding.
I'm happy most of you get what I'm saying, I hesitated writing it thinking I would get a lot of "you're so rude" or "if you don't like it, leave" posts...

I can't think of any titles that won't be considered rude haha. I think most of us are feeling the same way and don't want to be rude but it's getting hard when you want to come on here and read up on something new or interesting and it's all the same stuff
I agree with you guys! It was actually nice to read the post about the lady 6 weeks pregnant having herpes this morning because it wasn't the same old cramps, mucus plug, circumcision, has my water broke post!!!

Haha yes! I agree. It reminded me of the early days and made me glad to be towards the end

What the?? I had no idea there was such a post is it still around?
I'm going to play devil's advocate here a bit... I agree they are kind of in abundance right now.. Especially about the timing of contractions, at this stage of the game one probably should have discussed with their doctor as to what he/she prefers for how far apart and for how long means head to the hospital based on their individual circumstances instead of asking on here. However, were all at the home stretch other than this and complaining about how bloody uncomfortable we all are; What are we supposed to talk about ?
We could talk about everyone's favorite baby gear. Strollers, carriers, breast pumps, swings, cribs, or whatever.
We could share our experiences or tips on how to handle breastfeeding issues that may come up. Things to avoid eating that might give baby gas, or whatever.
Holy monkey nuts, I would love to know where everyone is buying cute nursing tanks and bras because I have no idea where to get them. Hell, nursing clothes in general that don't make me look like I belong on 19 kids and counting.
Perhaps between the lot of us we could make a Pinterest board on family photo ideas with a newborn. Jesus knows I'm tired of the standard Sears portrait studio poses.
There are many many things that we could start a new thread about. Just saying.

Anything I worry about, I've brought up with my doctor. But, I'll still post on here if maybe someone else has advice that may work that I hadn't thought of (my cramping situation, looking for relief rather than shared experience lol)
Just wait, next we'll all come in with "why won't my baby sleep?" or "how long do I bleed for?" or "why is my baby crying?!" posts afterwards... I think it's just going to come in that way due to us being at the same stage in the game with being in the same birth month.
Re: PSA
Also, sometimes calling your doctor is hard to do and having people encourage you to do it is what you need to hear.

Let us all be cranky
Anyone have good nursing bra or tank suggestions lol? My chest is like a 40G and I need help!
Will we all be on a board together after we give birth? Like a "may15 babies are here" board? Where's that located? The new bump app?
