  I'm getting it on Wednesday before they induce me. I looked through some old posts to learn about it, but would love to read some more recent experiences! Good luck to you tomorrow. Please keep us posted!

  I had it with my first 5 years ago. They put it in Monday night and my water broke around midnight. They took the cervadil out and started pitocin in the morning. Had my son at 4:02.

  I was told it make cause severe cramping and diarreah ?

  Hi there! I was given cervidil the night before being induced with my three year old son...it did absolutely nothing for me to be honest. I went in at 39 weeks and had no softening or dialation and the purpose of the cervidil is to prepare your cervix for labor. When they took it out 12 hours later no change had occurred for me. I think I am totally an abnormal outcome though as I hear it usually works well. I wish you the best of luck and that your labor is fast and painless. And FYI I did not experience any cramping or poops.

  I had this with my first. I was given pitocin all day and I wasn't progressing so throughout the day the nurses kept putting cervidil pills in me. I can't remember how many they actually put but it was several times and still no progress. Then it hit me hard all at once. My water broke then started nonstop contractions that made me dilate extremely fast and waiting for that epideral was awful lol
