cant catch a break.

I feel like a failure of a mother. My DD got RSV from her brother at 3 weeks old. My son has been sick for almost 2 months because his dad neglects him (nobody will.do anything CPS or court wise) she was hospitalized due to it..before we exchanged I asked him if my son was sick and he told me no. Well that was a big lie. So here we are 6 weeks old and she now contracted another sinus/ear infection...2 weeks ago was an ear infection.
its so stressful, especially if he keeps saying my son isnt sick and then is. its like she will never get better. I cry frequently. For my son and my newborn. And i try to talk it over with dad and he shows no empathy that he is harming not only his son...but could of killed My baby

  • Oh man, that is ridiculous. But it sounds like you're a really good mum who is doing her best. I'm a social worker and I see this situation where CPS won't do anything too often. If it feels right, maybe reach out to a professional would make a report on your behalf. They usually respond when they get inundated. Good luck and I'll keep you and your LO in my thoughts.

  • You are a really good mum! In the meantime maybe try boosting the wee mans immune system - is he taking a daily vitamin? Have you heard of sambucus? You can look at it on Amazon and read the reviews, but those are two things we do to try and keep sicknesses out of our home. I'm sorry you're going through all that :(

First of all, don't think you're a failure. It sounds to me like you really care about your kids, so that makes you a good mom. :) Second, I agree with @NLB2009. Try talking to someone that will make a report on your behalf. I'm a mandated reporter and have filed reports. The response is pretty quick. I hope your babies get better, and don't be down on yourself for his screw ups.
