Evening Primrose Oil

I notice a lot of post about the use of evening primrose oil. I need some clarification. I am 39 weeks and I just purchased some today. They are 500mg. How many pills orally? How many vaginally? Would love some recommendations.

The first time I took primrose oil I went into labor about two hours later! Two vaginally did the trick. But docs say 1000 mg orally and 1000 vaginally.

I'm 39 weeks, my doc just had me start taking this a couple days ago. She didn't mention any vaginally, but said to take 3000 orally.
