My brag is....

Tuesday night I was trying to install the car seat before I had my version Wednesday morning, just in case.

It was a total disaster, couldn't for the life of me figure it out....I went upstairs and cried because I just felt like a failure. We had to have medical intervention to get pregnant, baby is breech so I was facing C-section and now I can't even put in the damn car seat.

So I went upstairs and cried and texted my (deployed) husband and yelled at him -- clearly rational obviously.

I decided that I refused to let the baby come while at the version (not that I really had control over it) because I was clearly not prepared for him yet and needed the next few weeks since I couldn't even put in it a stupid car seat.

So today I gave it another shot...did it all on my own, got the mirror and sun shades in and now my truck is ready for baby.

I feel like that was a major win.

Congrats on the triumph. I gotta admit I laughed but only because I can relate. Last night I couldn't open a jar of salsa and had a complete meltdown and threw the jar. My boyfriend comes into the kitchen and I am crying picking up glass. He asked if I was ok and I went off on him for nothing and cried some more. He slowly eased away lmao

I'd love to brag about how amazing my husband has been. He is usually not the most paternal guy, but this whole pregnancy he has been trying so hard to be proactive! I'll just say "oh i should have gotten water" and he'll just go get it. He's even been willing to go shopping with me; probably his least favorite activity on the planet! I was worried at first but he has stepped up like woah! He won't read this, but just thought I'd brag a bit!!

My brag is that I survived 4 hours today with my MIL and grandma. Despite the "how much weight have you gained?" questions. It was an exhausting day. But I managed to make it through.

How about, instead of being embarrassed or mad that my husband recorded me snoring (thanks, giant baby smushing my airway), I found it hilarious and laughed, AND told my friends? I sound like a legitimate hibernating bear.

I started and finished a wreath to hang on my hospital door once Lila arrives, I found the idea on pinterest and once I finished, it looked better than the picture! I felt great about my craft skills!
I wish I could post a pic but my Galaxy 5S won't let me!

I grocery shopped. Yup! I got off the couch and went to the store and shopped. I felt so sick and didn't want to go but I felt so good when I finally went. Small accomplishments!

I'm a FTM and I went into labor yesterday and went from 3cm dilated to 9cm in under 3 hours. 34 min of pushing later no meds and only two stitches we had a beautiful baby boy!!
And we are all at home and doing great!

Yesterday was my last day to do actual work and I finished everything on my to do list! Now I just am doing some catch up paperwork until my baby arrives. It feels good that I got everything done and didn't leave anyone with partially done work to pick up.

My husband is making the changing table and he's still in the process of coating it. The doctor said that the baby will probably arrive sometime this week, which means that the fumes won't dissipate in time to use it when she first comes home, so (by myself) I put together the pack n' play and all it's pieces. I was SO proud of myself because it's difficult for me to do things with the belly, BUT I DID IT!!! Go me! :-)

Midwife told me baby is "LOA" (left occiput anterior) and his head is deep which she tells me is the ideal fetal position for labor! I feel like all my efforts to not slouch and to bounce/roll on the birth ball and sleep on my left side are paying off! I feel really proud of that.

I made it a point during this whole pregnancy to work out as much as I can and to eat as healthy as I can. At 38 weeks, I still work out and take spin classes several times a week and have stalled at a 21lbs weight gain with a healthy, active baby!

I havnt killed my husband over barring family!! Lol jk I put together the intire nursery alone I washed everything and feel my to do list is done. I even successfully trained my two lil helpers were everything is located just in case!!

@ekaeb I am with you! @ 36w 2d I have yet to dispose of my boyfriend's or hos mother's bodies! They are driving me nuts! Keep calm and cool lol. I keep telling myself I can't lift them so it will have to wait...... jk :-w

I have had more energy and my home is pretty much ready for baby girl! I have been trying so hard to become more organized! And it has been working! I'm so proud of myself!! Also I just bought a (new for me) car!!! I have driven my other car for 7 years. I can't wait to get the car seat into my new mommy car!!

I stopped feeling bad about baby not being here anymore and haven't cried about it recently! Im 39 weeks but was expected to go early, i think i stopped feeling bad cause i stopped seeing my in laws who always made me feel like crap about it AAAAANNNNDDD i have all my bags packed that's big for me too !

I just spent $32 on groceries for the upcoming week, compared to the usual $50-$60!! And the sweetest old man in front of me at check out gave me all his coupons for next time! :x

My brag is that I've officially finished my "before baby" checklist! House is clean, guest room ready for MIL, and my deep freeze is packed full of yummy meals and baked goods! I'm due is 5 days and hoping every day this little one is going to come!

Big brag here... If anyone read my post about my MIL trying to force her way into L&D, you would know that I was stressing hard about it... Well, she showed up at our place on Friday night and is crashing on our couch til she's satisfied with her visit... But today, when we were out at breakfast, she, very matter-of-factly stated her role in the delivery room... At first, I was at a loss as to what to say... I felt awkward and uncomfortable. As I was about to say my piece, my husband very confidently said "no, mom... It's only going to be me in there with her. We want to do this as a team, and we want our privacy..." I was stunned, and so was my MIL... After a few minutes of, frankly, very satisfying silence, she said "...why are you kicking me out of the delivery room?" I, again, couldn't come up with anything to say... But, my husband stepped up, stunning us both again, and said "no guilt mom, nothing personal either, we just want it to be us. That's all... Plus, it would be most helpful to have you watch [our son]." She was quiet, but eventually let it go....

I have to say, my hubby really stepped up, and we had a small victory together :-)

I was stressing about having to move all the heavy boxes, containers and equipment in the garage so that the pest control guy could come and lay the repellent tomorrow. DH actually got up early this morning and after a good breakfast of bacon, eggs and cheesy potatoes we moved all the stuff together.

We're such a great team and I could not have asked for a better man to grow a family with!

Wow that's awesome. If my DH said that to my MIL though, she would keep on swinging until she got her way, hell or high water. Luckily they live over 4 hours away

37w5d and I am working a 24 hour shift taking care of sick babies! I feel like a tired Superwoman! We are short staffed & there was no way to move this call- otherwise I would have. Hoping to get some rest tonight. We will see. Last call is Tuesday night. I can't wait to be done & meet baby!

I LOVE having a brag post! My brag is that this last weekend, to celebrate being 38 weeks and having a 14 day countdown, I snowshoed from base to summit of one of our local ski mountains! I am feeling so antsy to get back to running that it felt really good to do that, even though it was nice and slow going.
