Has anyone else had to put the crib together by themselves. I am about ready to lose it between my mom refusing to help bc she thinks I should wait until after I have the baby & my husband procrastinating out the you know what. #9months
My 7 year old nephew put mine together! I'd loan him out to you if I could. He's a little engineering genius. I'm sorry you're not getting the help you should.
I put mine together by myself until it came to putting the spring section in to support the mattress. I ended up texting my boyfriends sister to help. He hasn't moved in yet. Supposed to be this weekend coming and I was impatient and wasn't waiting. Lol the rest was easy to do myself just not that part, it was stiff so couldn't get it to cooperate. But I'd definitely say go for it!
I put mine together and the dresser by myself. My husband has been a pain and not wanting to help with anything also but together my son's toddler bed.
I still haven't even ordered mine!! I'm procrastinating. My husband is the worse handy man! So I know I'll be putting it together. He put our toddlers bed together and somehow assembled it backwards (the headboard has the stickers that go facing back, facing forward :-? ) Anyway I'll just put it together when baby is out so belly isn't in the way. We're going to use a co-sleeper for the 1st month or so. I feel proud of myself when I build these things for my kids. You can do it! \:D/
My husband is great at a lot of things but I'm the one that swings the hammer around here. I too put the crib together by myself, it was actually really easy. Only thing I needed help with was the spring base, it needed two people to balance it.
I put baby's crib together myself. It took a couple hours (like a million pieces), but it was kind of nice and cathartic. I lot of it could be done sitting down, which was appreciated.
Mine needed 4 hands and a monkey to get it together, got my dad to come and help. Basic screws and bolts, no problem. But...these had....reinforcer/bolt/screw insert thingies. I recommend taking a chair to sit on while you do it too, too hard to bend and do things now! Good luck.
I did mine myself which was so hard because it's huge just take your time and don't get too fustrated I know you want it done but they don't even use a crib for a few months after they are born. Hopefully you get the help you need.
I did mine but I did it 2 months ago cause I knew I wouldn't feel like it now. You could always wait until after little one is born if you have a basinette.
