Dry eyes??

Does anyone else have dry eyes. Mine are so bad they feel like sandpaper! Dr said its hormones. I cannot find relief, I've tried all kinds of over the counter eye drops etc. They are not dry they just feel that way, my eyes have been watering normally and it still feels really dry. HELP ME!

    Same here! Eyes are constantly burning...makes me want to take out contacts. Didn't know if it was allergies or pregnancy

    I've been dealing with this for the past 6 weeks or so (I'm 38 weeks now) and it SUCKS. I even had a doctor colleague make sure I hadn't scratched my cornea (I hadn't) because no amount of rest/drops/not rubbing brought any relief. I didn't have any redness or visible irritation (making allergies seem unlikely) but they just felt awful and sandy. I tried overnight eye moisturizer, plain saline lubricant and gel drops and the gel drops have brought a little relief in the past week... I'm convinced it's just pregnancy weirdness. Try not to rub (I know, it's impossible) and drink lots of water! Good luck :)

    I feel your pain. I wear RGP lenses due to my severe astigmatism and I can't seem to wear them for longer than a few hours as my eyes get dry and irritated, leaving me frustrated and feeling more sleepy (I feel sleepy when my eyes are dry...go figure). My optometrist said that this is common in pregnancy as you secrete more viscous lubrication and that can persist throughout pregnancy and usually after your first post partum menstrual cycle (which she said normally takes 6 months). So I've been wearing my glasses more for comfort reasons. Geeking it out + weight gain = not feeling sexy.

    Ditto! My eyes randomly water all the time too. Eye makeup, other than mascara, has pretty much fallen to the wayside. My eye doc said same thing, just weird hormones. I also have dandruff now and occasional bloody noses so my doc said it's just dry skin from my hormones. Pretty stoked to get rid of all this after my daughter is here!
